THE BIG BANG THEORY “The Good Guy Fluctuation” Review

THE BIG BANG THEORY  "The Good Guy Fluctuation" Season 5 Episode 7 – When I think about  The Big Bang Theory  and Halloween , I think back to the first season when the boys attended Penny’s party in full geek costume. My, how far they’ve come… This year’s holiday episode, "The Good Guy Fluctuation" is less about dressing  up and more about scaring the poop out of Sheldon. Which is funny, but in a totally different way. It’s not hard to get the best  of Sheldon when it comes to practical jokes; he walks into set-ups with the greatest of ease. But for all of his smarts, he simply can’t seem to play  any jokes of his own in retribution. Putting a snake in Raj’s desk drawer is a wasted effort when you consider that Raj grew up with cobras in his backyard. And I’m not exactly sure how Bernadette and Howard knew to turn Sheldon’s hand-buzzer around on him by pretending to have Howard’s heart stop and making Sheldon stab him in the chest with a fake syringe, but it was a great gag. Still, sometimes the scare isn’t so much in the set-up as it is the timing. Who knows how long Sheldon would have had to bunker down in the couch itself waiting for the right moment, when his roommate’s defenses were down, to pounce out in full zombie makeup, but it was worth it to finally get Leonard to jump out of his skin. The Big Bang Theory 5.07 Recap 'A bit of pre-Halloween hi-jinkery'

It's all about trick or treat on the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory as Sheldon declares prank war after falling victim to shenanigans at the university late one night. Outside of the trick part of the episode, Leonard discovers a real treat: a hot girl who's into comics and him as well. Will he cheat on long-distance girlfriend Priya?  Everything starts off with Sheldon working late in his office when your standard set of creepy circumstances occurs: lights going out, eerie voices echoing from down the hall, and blood-scrawled messages with improper grammar on the walls. Ever the logical scientist, Sheldon mocks most of these happenings until Howard and Raj come forward as the would-be pranksters. Admitting defeat they all head back to Sheldon's office where, unbeknownst to Sheldon, a masked Leonard is still lurking in the shadows. Level-headed logic cannot compete with a well-planned scare tactic. Read More... //feedproxy.google.com/~r/tvovermind/tvnews/~3/V3Wq7W53J3g/101310

'The Big Bang Theory' recap: Fright Might

There are times while watching  The Big Bang Theory  that I'm struck by how unusually real the characters are allowed to be. The show is often at its sharpest when it just lets Leonard, Penny, Raj, Howard, and Bernadette — and even deliciously over-the-top creations like Sheldon or Amy Farrah Fowler — loose into a human-scaled dilemma and allows us to watch them try to figure it out, without any heightened, sitcom-y shenanigans to get in their way. This week's episode was a prime example: While hanging out at the comic-book store, Leonard unwittingly landed the digits of Alice ( True Blood 's Courtney Ford), that rare breed of stunning woman who sports body piercings and peekaboo tattoos in tantalizing places  and  is also really, really into comic books, so much so she's drawn one of her own. Well, okay, that's not the most believable of scenarios, but Ford did a great job of selling Alice as a real person who was really into Leonard. And Johnny Galecki did a great job of selling his very  real moral dilemma: Sleep with the woman who is sitting right next to me, or be faithful to the girlfriend who is thousands of miles away in India? The Big Bang Theory Review: Halloween Hinjinks

The Big Bang Theory did Halloween this week in " The Good Guy Fluctuation ," and instead of getting bogged down in traditional holiday events, it was all about scaring the crap outta each other. And, well, Leonard's girl troubles. Don't get me wrong, I don't advocate cheating. Ever. Okay, I do. Leonard what were you thinking? Break up with Priya! She is across the world and, more importantly, not right for you! Alice was perfect. She was cute, funny, had common interests and lives in California. What more could you want? The writers messed this one up big time. Any chance he can repair the damage and get Alice back? For the first time, I didn't want Leonard and Penny to be together. That's huge. 'The Big Bang Theory': Sheldon's scared while Leonard is terrified

Halloween is in the air. And if there's anyone better to offer trick-or-treat pranks than the four nerds from "The Big Bang Theory," we're out of ideas. After Howard (Simon Helberg), Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) scare the photons out of Sheldon (Jim Parsons) with an elaborate trick, Dr. Cooper spends the entire episode trying to get even. However, it turns out that he's not quite the merry prankster he wants to be.But the main story this week is Leonard. He meets an attractive woman named Alice (Courtney Ford) at the comic book store. They hit it off immediately, but there's that little problem - his girlfriend Priya. So the morally conflicted Leonard seeks advice on what to do. First he asks his his ex-girlfriend Penny (bad idea) and then Sheldon (worse idea). At the end, Leonard does the right thing. Of course this depends on what your concept of the "right thing" is, but... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/10/the-big-bang-theory-sheldons-scared-while-leonard-is-terrified.html
