THE BIG BANG THEORY: "THE HIGGS BOSON OBSERVATION" REVIEW

Season 6 of The Big Bang Theory kicked off with a strong sense of momentum as it picked up the various loose threads form Season 5. Unfortunately, that momentum seems to be slowing a bit as the series devotes too much attention to the tired Leonard/Penny dynamic and not enough to the rest of the gang. "The Higgs Boson Observation" has its moments, but ultimately felt pretty tepid compared to the previous two episodes. The Big Bang Theory Review: Two Moons in the Sky

Last Thursday, I asked, " Where are the laughs? " Well, in " The Higgs Boson Observation ,"  The Big Bang Theory  found them. I previously complained that Howard's stories were no different than those he had on Earth. I was thrilled to see that change. Howard's deterioration in space was unique to his circumstances and not feel forced at all. Of course, it's unfortunate for Howard, but funny nonetheless. When you are deprived of something for an extended time, all you want is that thing. For Howard, it was gravity. The simple joy he got from seeing an object on Earth fall.  In the end, he cracked. He finally lost his Fruit Loops! Hmm ... that's a joke they could have used. I hope the drugs help because I wouldn't want to see Howard come back with any permanent damage. He's unique enough as it is. I'm glad we didn't see the second moon! Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2012/10/the-big-bang-theory-review-the-higgs-boson-observation/#ixzz296gpv7ii

The Big Bang Theory Season Six Review “The Higgs Boson Observation” – The Color Green

I’m not sure if I’m getting more critical or if  The Big Bang Theory  is slipping a bit, but this week’s episode, "The Higgs Boson Observation ," left me a little cold again. It’s not that it didn’t have its funny moments, or that I sat stone-faced for half an hour, but when it was over, I felt as if the story wasn’t complete yet. I want to believe that this means the assistant Sheldon hired  to go through his childhood science projects to find a Nobel-worthy theory is going to be around for another episode. Maybe she’ll be the thing that makes Penny realize that she has a good guy. Although…we always say that Leonard is a good guy, but he can be awfully mean, like when he taunted Raj with his mutism in front of a pretty girl.
