Jon Stewart Rips Fox News Over Obama 'God'-less Thanksgiving Claims (Video)

Is Thanksgiving becoming the latest holiday to be turned into "yet another one of those Christian persecution culture war type things?" Jon Stewart hopes not. The "Daily Show" host takes issue with Fox News' taking issue with President Obama not mentioning God in a YouTubed Thanksgiving message -- even though Obama did mention it in a written statement about the holiday. //www.thewrap.com/article/jon-stewart-rips-fox-news-over-obama-god-less-thanksgiving-claim-video-33133

Seth MacFarlane Reveals Years-Old Feud With Jon Stewart (Video)

Seth MacFarlane  has revealed a years-old debate he had with  Daily Show  host  Jon Stewart  that sprang from Stewart's decision not to shut down  The Daily Show  during the 2007 Writers Guild strike. During an interview with CNN's  Piers Morgan  scheduled to air Wednesday evening, the  Family Guy creator recounted an hour-long "angry call" he and Stewart had in 2008 after a joke ran on  The Family Guy  poking fun at Stewart. "I think his response was 'Who the hell made you the moral arbiter of Hollywood?'" MacFarlane told Morgan. Jon Stewart Mocks Fox's Coverage of the Nancy Grace Nip Slip

You know you've made it big as a guilty pleasure reality show when political satirist Jon Stewart devotes precious minutes to you on The Daily Show.Dancing With the Stars earned some time in the Daily Show spotlight, thanks to the alleged Nancy Grace nip slip. This being The Daily Show, Jon didn't just make fun of Nancy, of course — he also took Fox News to task for waving aside this actually potentially scandalous event in favor of making fun of Chaz Bono some more, as if even the most... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/5Hw-PmOARTk/jon-stewart-mocks-foxs-coverage-of-the-nancy-grace-nip-slip-

Jon Stewart Calls GOP Presidential Contest 'American Idol' in Reverse

Is the GOP presidential hopeful field like a bizarre form of American Idol in reverse? Jon Stewart  thinks so and he demonstrated it Monday night on  The Daily Show , complete with an "embarrassing audition" clip of New Jersey governor  Chris Christie  mangling a cover of  Bruce Springsteen 's  Born to Run . As the candidates keep piling into the race (constituents are now calling for Christie to join), Stewart wondered what exactly the ideal Republican candidate would look like, as voters seem to take issue with every person currently running for the presidency. Jon Stewart Doesn't See Downside of Bill O'Reilly Quitting Over Tax Hikes (VIDEO)

When making an argument against potential tax hikes against the richest Americans, Bill O'Reilly chose the wrong way to go about it. At least, it was wrong if you're Jon Stewart . He was delighted on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central) about the possibilities O'Reilly presented. He showed a clip of O'Reilly talking on his own show about the potential tax hikes. "If Barack Obama begins taxing me more than 50 percent, which is very possible, I don't know how much longer I'm gonna do this," he said. "I like my job, but there comes a point when taxation becomes oppressive." When it cut back to Stewart, he had a devilish little grin on his face. "So if taxes are raised, Bill O'Reilly might quit his Fox show?" he asked rhetorically. //www.aoltv.com/2011/09/22/stewart-doesnt-see-downside-bill-oreilly-quitting-tax-video/

Jon Stewart Equates CNN's Tea Party Debate Presentation to Reality TV (VIDEO)

"CNN kicked off [the Republican Tea Party debate] in fine reality show style," Jon Stewart said on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), and in many ways it was just as ridiculous as that statement promises. The dramatic intros for the "characters" in the debate , complete with character definitions was completely over the top for a political debate. We get that everything is entertainment now, and that campaigning is so much more about style than substance, but we can still be disappointed by it. Michele Bachmann was labeled "The Firebrand" by the announcer, like we were anticipating her entrance into the ring for a WWE cage match or something. //www.aoltv.com/2011/09/14/jon-stewart-cnn-debate-presentation-reality-tv-video/

Jon Stewart Declares Rick Perry GOP Debate Winner Before It Happens

"The Daily Show" taped before Wednesday's GOP presidential candidates' debate, robbing Jon Stewart of a chance to make fun of Rick Perry for comparing himself to Galileo or any of the other humor-ready comments. However, that did not stop Stewart from declaring Perry the winner. Stewart was reacting to Mitt Romney's new jobs plan, which the former Massachusetts governor and previous frontrunner unveiled on Tuesday. There were several things that caught Stewart's eye. Jon Stewart Rips Media Over 'Speechgate' (Video)

Fresh from vacation, "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart finally weighed in on the petty debate over the scheduling of President Obama's jobs speech -- the one that would have been held tonight, but was moved to Thursday at the request of House Majority Leader John Boehner. Playing clips in which talking heads said Obama had caved to Republicans, Stewart offered another possibilty: He had made a reasonable accomodation. But conflict-hungry reporters could never accept such a thing, he said. Story continues after the video: //www.thewrap.com/article/jon-stewart-rips-media-over-speechgate-30751

Jon Stewart to Interview Surviving Members of Nirvana About 'Nevermind'

Jon Stewart has signed on to host a Q&A with two surviving members of Nirvana and producer Butch Vig for "SiriusXM's Town Hall with Nirvana," a radio special set to air Saturday, September 24, at 8 p.m. ET. Not coincidentally, Sept. 24 also happens to be the 20th anniversary of the Seattle grunge band's legendary "Nevermind," which is arguably the most influential album of the past two decades. The two-hour session will be recorded in New York in front of a studio audience. "The Daily Show" host will grill Nirvana drummer Grohl and bassist Novoselic, as well as "Nevermind" producer Vig, about recording the landmark album with frontman Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994. Attendees and SiriusXM subscribers will also be able to to ask the panelists questions. Jon Stewart and Anne Hathaway Geek Out About Scrabble (VIDEO)

It turned into a bit of a nerd-fest on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central) after the audience recognized his use of the 'World of Warcraft' font in a comedy bit. When Anne Hathaway came out, she called them her people. Her nerd choice, apparently, is a love of the game Scrabble, which lead to what may be the longest interview discussion about Scrabble in the history of talk shows (at least with someone who isn't some kind of world Scrabble champion). Jon Stewart and Hathaway talked about strategies playing on the computer, and some wisdom that Stewart got from his seven-year old son. The PC game offers you four chances to use a "Best Word" feature when you're playing the computer. //www.aoltv.com/2011/08/19/jon-stewart-anne-hathaway-talk-about-scrabble-video/
