'Good Wife': Is Peter the father of Marilyn's baby? I sincerely hope not

"The Good Wife" just hit its milestone 100th episode in what I think is the best episode the show has ever done. I even enjoyed the final frames, with Eli's spit-take and Marilyn's "bombshell." But some things I've been reading have given me pause about it. My first thought upon seeing the ending of the episode, where Marilyn reveals that she's having a boy and is going to name it "Peter," was that Marilyn was messing with Eli. She was playing a joke on him because she's obviously a smart and savvy woman who knew exactly why they "promoted" her to the Transit Authority and thought she'd give Eli a mini-stroke -- Merry Christmas! (Or I should say, Happy Hanukkah!)However, in an interview with Vulture, creator Robert King says this, "She's not kidding. The only thing we'd say is we pick up the next episode right where we left off. Literally a second later. You'll... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/good-wife-is-peter-the-father-of-marilyns-baby-i-sincerely-hope-not.html

Good Wife Bosses Robert and Michelle King on Alicia’s Hidden Heartbreak and Hitting 100 Episodes

As it crosses the 100-episode threshold, The Good Wife is riding high . A few weeks ago, showrunners Robert and Michelle King pulled off the gutsy move of blowing up the show by having Alicia split from Lockhart Gardner. Watching the characters wade through the wreckage has proven just as explosive. In “The Decision Tree” (the series’ last new episode until January), Will's brave (pissed off?) face began to crumble, Kalinda hopped into bed with a sexy new friend, and Marilyn caused Eli to do a spit-take. Baby steps to January, everyone! Until then, Vulture rang up the Kings to help break down Sunday's episode and tease what's ahead.  Read More... //www.vulture.com/2013/12/good-wife-robert-and-michelle-king-interview.html

'Good Wife's' 100th episode: Josh Charles and John Noble break our hearts

The 100th episode of "The Good Wife," titled "The Decision Tree," brought the fall half of the season to a close -- and what a way to go out. This is probably my favorite episode the show has ever done. Sure, "Hitting the Fan," with Alicia and Cary getting found out and the mad-dash to oust her while the fourth-years desperately tried to take clients with them, was much more high-octane. But this one was so quietly outstanding for many reasons, not the least of which is Josh Charles and guest-star John Noble. Both men are in love with Alicia and neither can have her and it's heartbreaking to watch. Of course, Noble's Matthew Ashbaugh couldn't have her years ago, when they were working on a case for him in New York. At that time, Charles' Will Gardner did have her. Will and Alicia were mid-affair at that point -- and having some racy balcony... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/good-wifes-100th-episode-josh-charles-and-john-noble-break-our-hearts.html

'The Good Wife' 100th episode: Julianna Margulies loves Alicia Florrick's 'uncharted territory'

While notable when a show reaches 100 episodes, it's a landmark for it to also be at its finest point, as is "The Good Wife."CBS' compelling drama marks its 100th episode Sunday, Dec. 1, and its makers allowed Zap2it a rare set visit during that taping. This was just after the series-changing episode when Alicia Florrick and Cary Agos (Julianna Margulies, Matt Czuchry) were fired.Starting their own firm revitalized the show. Though set in Chicago, it's created in an industrial section of Brooklyn, where quiet efficiency prevails. However at Florrick/Agos, which resembles a forgotten municipal department, there's the frantic chatter of worry. In the 100th episode, Alicia expects to meet with the acerbic David Lee (Zach Grenier). Instead, Colin (Jason O'Mara) arrives, explaining Alicia's former partner "would rather negotiate with the devil. Me? I don't care who I negotiate with."Colin foolishly expects her to sign without reading her exit contract, and he tries to chat her... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/the-good-wife-100th-episode-julianna-margulies-loves-alicia-florricks-uncharted-territory.html

'Good Wife' 100th episode clip: Governor Florrick has a problem with the holiday party

"The Good Wife" is bringing the fall 2013 season to close with a big episode -- number 100, titled "The Decision Tree." Check out this sneak peek preview in the video above.New firm Florrick, Agos and Associates is throwing a holiday party and Governor Florrick is attending, but Marilyn and Eli have an issue with that -- because "alleged" wife-murderer Colin Sweeney will be there and it might be seen as an ethical misstep since Sweeney's plea bargain happened during Peter's time as the State's Attorney. We've seen the full episode -- click here for a few small spoiler-y tidbits to tide you over. But suffice to say, it's excellent. Maybe the best episode the show has ever done. "The Good Wife's" 100th episode airs Sunday, Dec. 1 at 9:30 p.m. ET/8:30 CT and then at 9 p.m. MT/PT (the first broadcast is pushed back due to NFL football).... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/11/good-wife-100th-episode-clip-governor-florrick-has-a-problem-with-the-holiday-party.html
