My overall score about this series stayed true on a consistent 4 and 1/2 stars along the way. It wasn't a love deeply adventure, but an I care deeply about you one. Good show, with plenty to watch and get excited about. What I liked the most was the fact that it was different, it had that something else of fantasy that I care for and I haven't seen anything alike it on the market. I am also happy to report, for once, that I haven't cried my eyes out at an ending of a cared for series (I assume the end of the last season was plenty and much appreciation for the show creators that they didn't back me into a corner once more). And I am saying this with a good feeling, the end felt natural and full of possibilities, and what can be better than a world where everyone survives and it is a planet made of all the best of things that 4 of our beloved characters wished upon. Yes, the series could have gone on longer, but I don't feel betrayed by the authors in any way, I can sincerely say they've thought of everything and even left me feeling good, even after the very end. I am very happy that Margo survived - deepest respect for that character and actress, plus she's with Josh what more can we want?!?!?, glad to see that Eliot moves on with an intrigue how he likes, Alice seems finally at peace and she is as powerful as she'd always been (maybe even a litter more? if that is possible), and very glad that Fen didn't back out or ambushed the plan and she seems positively happy with the New Fillory outcome - it would have been sad not to see her sparkly quirky self push through, Julia and Penny seem to make it work somehow even though nothing planned in the previous episodes actually gets to action and I know Penny is beyond happy to have some part of his old self back - not to mention keeping Julia, even Dean Fogg gets to be somewhat ok, and Kady fits her new sleeve the best in my view - being the leader of the hedge witches - with a new plan to fix the moon. So overall: up, and up, and up! Lastly, I feel the need to say to all the sad peeps that feel down, that in my view I get it, I get why this had to be the end (ofc besides the fact that the show, even though they've tried, could not be moved to some other cable/television network). Our main character is gone and that is a tough act to follow. And rather than making this show too stretched and loosing interest in viewers, or making some crappy stories on an unheard of cable, or god knows where deep down in the drain of the internet, at least this way they gave us and the characters/actors a very decent and hopeful goodbye, and the show deserved that! Rather keep it short, magical and to the point, that rambling away from everything. And then again in this sea of possibilities you never know what might happen in the future: they could make a movie in a couple of years, or start a new show following just one character a couple of years older on his/hers new pathway. Life is full of the unknown and there is a time for everyone and everything ;)
