The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 12 Review: The Audit Couple

Sparks were flying all over the place on The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 12 . Was anyone surprised by either development? It was about time Emily finally got somewhere with Felix. For a guy who is usually so astute, he was completely clueless when it came to her.   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/05/the-odd-couple-season-1-episode-12-review-the-audit-couple/

The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 9 Review: Sleeping Dogs Lie

Wow, The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 9 was actually, dare I say it? Funny . Seriously guys, I laughed. More than once. Of the sports cameos they've had so far, Chris Webber is easily my favorite. The scene with Oscar and Felix fighting over the pillow with Teddy, Chris, and Danistanding back watching was hilarious. I loved that Chris was so interested in their argument that he was asking Danito fill him in on the details.    Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/04/the-odd-couple-season-1-episode-9-review-sleeping-dogs-lie/

The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 8 Review: The Unger Games

Were you surprised by Felix's athletic ability? I don't think it wastoo shocking to find out he was in shape. It's always been obvious that Oscar isn't. They deserved the injuries they sustained wrestling at the end of The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 8 for their childish behavior.   Read More...   //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/04/the-odd-couple-season-1-episode-8-review-the-unger-games/

The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 7 Review: The Secret Agent Man

Congratulations The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 7 ! You actually made me laugh out loud tonight! No, I'm not referring to Felix and his ridiculous bird head. It wasn't Oscar's painfully unfunny appearance on the show either. Unsurprisingly, it was my favorite character Dani who got the chuckle out of me:   Read More...   //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/04/the-odd-couple-season-1-episode-7-review-the-secret-agent-man/

The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 6 Review: Heal Thyself

Is Felix's neurotic behavior escalating or has it always been this bad? We're only six episodes in, but his hypochondria seems like it came out of nowhere. Chances are it'll be dropped completely and we'll never hear of it again.   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/04/the-odd-couple-season-1-episode-6-review-heal-thyself/

The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 2 Review: The Ghostwriter

Well that was a definite improvement! The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 1 felt too over the top for me, but luckily The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 2 managed to tone it down a bit. That being said, Emily the waitress was still a little too much. Watching her felt a little like watching a Saturday Night Live skit  Regardless, I found Episode 2 to be much funnier than the first one. Dani had a bigger role, and it's clear to me that more Yvette Nicole Brown is never a bad thing. Seriously though, she needs to find better ways to spend her days off. Who wants to pick sesame seeds off fake hamburger buns with tweezers?   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/02/the-odd-couple-season-1-episode-2-review-the-ghostwriter/

The Odd Couple Series Premiere Review: What a Waste of Talent

The Odd Couple boasts a talented cast, but its tired jokes and outdated premise make it feel like a cruel punishment for everyone involved.   Read More... //www.tv.com/shows/the-odd-couple-2015/community/post/the-odd-couple-series-premiere-review-what-a-waste-of-talent-142419825173/

The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 1 Review: Pilot

As only a casual fan of the original series, I was not sure what to expect from the re-booted version. I love Matthew Perry and I want him to find a successful post-Friends show, but after watching The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 1 I don't think this is it. Personally, I thought Go On should have been it, but that's a separate matter.   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/02/the-odd-couple-season-1-episode-1-review-pilot/

The Odd Couple Is a Real Mess

Slobs get divorced like this , whereas neat freaks get divorced like this . Women: We hate them, and yet we want them to touch our penises all the time. Men: We love them, and yet we want them to touch our penises none of the time. America . Welcome to your new Odd Couple , premiering tonight at 8:30 p.m. on CBS.   Matthew Perry stars as Oscar, the messy one, and Thomas Lennon plays Felix, the neat one. Oh, my queendom for a better show for these two. Instead we get Perry as the rom-com clich of the glorious bachelor: TVs! Sports! Non-caring about laundry! What a dude's dude, truly. Lennon is just Niles Crane lite, all air purifiers and curated slideshows on his phone. "He seems a little gay," one of Oscar's friends says. "No, he seems incredibly gay," Oscar replies, because ha-ha-ha, only gay people could possibly care about, I don't know, food? I get the original Odd Couple is from the '60s, but when is this boring, homophobic nonsense from? After Felix huffily puts out someone else's cigar, Oscar pleads with his friends not to leave in protest. If we give up cigars, we'll live longer, he offers. "You've met my wife why would I want to live longer?" his friend snaps back. Yeah! You probably want to kill yourself! Because of your wife!   Read More... //www.vulture.com/2015/02/odd-couple-tv-review.html

'The Odd Couple' reboot: Matthew Perry does Walter Matthau, Thomas Lennon steers away from Tony Randall

Felix and Oscar are together again.Anyone who knows that combination of names must be familiar with the stage, screen, and/or earlier television versions of "The Odd Couple," Neil Simon's comedy about hugely dissimilar college roommates who end up sharing quarters again years later. The premise gets a fresh workout when Matthew Perry ("Friends") and Thomas Lennon ("Reno 911!") assume the roles in CBS' new variation premiering Thursday (Feb. 19).Garry Marshall, who executive-produced ABC's 1970s "Odd Couple" show, is an executive consultant on the new take. "When I was doing it," he tellsZap2it, "the network was so afraid thatthe audience would think there was two gay characters. Every week, they said, 'Put more girls in. Put more girls in.' So on purpose, [with] Jack Klugman and Tony Randall, I used to shoot little moments where they hugged and kissed and sent it to the network just to make them crazy. Now they deal with it.
