The Playboy Club Lands New Home in Salt Lake City

NBC has found a new home for The Playboy Club in Salt Lake City. KMYU, the Utah capital's My Network TV affiliate, has agreed to pick up the drama and air it in its regular Monday nighttime slot this fall. KMYU grabbed the keys to The Playboy Club after Salt Lake City's NBC affiliate, KSL, told the network that it refused to air the show. NBC Affiliate Refuses to Air 'The Playboy Club'

An NBC affiliate in Salt Lake City is refusing to air the network's new fall series 'The Playboy Club' on the grounds that it conflicts with the moral standards of the station. According to a statement on the KSL website, the decision was based on a "long-term policy to screen programming for material which significant portions of our audience may find objectionable." "The Playboy brand is known internationally," Mark Willes, KSL President and CEO, said in a statement. "Everyone is clear what it stands for. We want to be sure everyone is clear what the KSL brand stands for, which is completely inconsistent with the Playboy brand." //www.aoltv.com/2011/06/13/the-playboy-club-ksl/

Actress Amber Heard wanted to be a part of  The Ward  because she loves the genre, loves the director (John Carpenter) and loved the script, making it the perfect combination. And, the added attention it gets for being Carpenter’s first feature film in about 10 years doesn’t hurt either. In the horror thriller, Heard plays a disturbed young woman named Kristen, who has no memory of her life before being admitted to a mysterious mental ward. Stuck with four other equally disturbed patients, Kristen begins to see strange things and hear frightening sounds, and quickly realizes that things are not as they seem. As she struggles to regain her freedom, she uncovers a truth more horrifying than she ever could have imagined. Read More... //collider.com/amber-heard-interview-the-ward-playboy-club/95068/

They're Back! Big Stars Return Next Season

Buffy as twisted identical twins! The O.C .'s Summer, now with a license to practice medicine! A smoking and drinking 1960s playboy sure to give Don Draper a run for his money! Some of my favorite TV vets give me the inside scoop on the new characters we'll start meeting in September.   Eddie Cibrian The Playboy Club (NBC) HIS CHARACTER Chicago Playboy Club founding member Nick Dalton is a lawyer who smokes, drinks and, ahem, socializes just as much as Mad Men 's Don Draper. 'The Playboy Club's' Amber Heard gets all mysterious on us

"The Playboy Club" establishes Amber Heard's character as a bit of a mystery -- and Heard is not about to go blabbing about her to the likes of us."She's got a somewhat dubious past behind her," Heard says of Maureen, the Playboy Club bunny she plays in NBC's new drama, which is set in 1963. "What I love about Maureen is we don't know much about where she comes from, but we have to figure it's important. ... We get the sense that there's a lot to learn about her."Heard herself has been learning about the era Maureen lives in, and she's excited to help bring it to life on the show. "It was a different time for women, it was a different time for what we expected of women," she tells Zap2it in the video below. "It was a different time for our silhouettes, for fashion. ... It's a texturally rich time to tell... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/05/the-playboy-clubs-amber-heard-gets-all-mysterious-on-us.html

'The Playboy Club': Eddie Cibrian brings a 'Mad Men' feel to Monday nights

It's NBC's sexed-up (if that's possible) answer to "Mad Men" -- Eddie Cibrian (who you may remember from divorcing Brandi Glanville to eventually marry Leann Rimes) stars as Nick Dalton, a 1960's era entrepreneur who opens the country's first Playboy-themed club in Chicago. The show also stars Amber Heard ("Hidden Palms," "Pineapple Express") as Bunny Maureen. "Playboy Club" will air Mondays at 10 p.m. ET.... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/05/the-playboy-club-eddie-cibrian-brings-a-mad-men-feel-to-monday-nights-1.html
