Real Housewives of Miami reunite: Season 2 is highly, luckily, unlikely

Tuesday night was the live reunion of the "The Real Housewives of Miami" ... and we watched it so that you don't have to subject yourself to it. You're welcome. In short, the experiment failed. The live reunion, which actually occurred on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live"  was uncomfortable and... well, crazy. The reunions for the other "Real Housewives" franchises tend to be lavish, carefully edited affairs that last for several hours so that we only have to watch the good stuff. After a brief, six-episode season, it's not much of a surprise that Bravo decided to skimp on the Miami reunion. So here are the basic details:Lea showed up looking freshly nipped and tucked. Larsa stressed that she's a very happy person who just wants everyone to be happy. Adriana's temper raged as she accused Christy of keeping her husband's last name for the connections associated with it. Unfortunately, without built in breaks to ease... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/04/real-housewives-of-miami-reunite-season-2-is-highly-luckily-unlikely.html

Real Housewives: Miami Housewives Will Have A LIVE Reunion Show?!

While watching last night's episodes of the Real Housewives of Miami and Watch What Happens Live! , I was delivered two shocks. The first shock came in the announcement that next week's episode will be the season finale of the Miami branch of the Real Housewives franchise. After six episodes, I still don't know these women that well and that doesn't sit right with me for some reason. Then again, I really can't stand the Horrid Sisters (aka Larsa Pippen and Cristy Rice) so this will be a blessing in disguise since I won't have to seem them for awhile. The second shock of the night was when Andy Cohen announced that the Miami girls will be treated with a LIVE reunion show! Am I the only taking this as a "WTF?!?!?" Moment? Why should these ladies be subjected to a live reunion show after six episodes and not the Atlanta or Beverly Hills Housewives? Could you imagine witnessing the tension  between NeNe and Kim during a live show? Or even between Kyle and Camille? Lips probably wouldn't stop flapping for days after something like that would've aired. Read More... //feedproxy.google.com/~r/tvovermind/tvnews/~3/kALa8d2YUfk/52200

'Real Housewives of Miami' to Have Live (!) Reunion Special

Well, here's a way to spice things up 'The Real Housewives of Miami': Bravo will reunite the ladies during a live special. That means no tweets from the cast about nine-hour tapings, and no editing of the boring parts. The ladies best be on their game! According Entertainment Weekly, 'Watch What Happens: Live Miami Housewives Reunion' will air on April 15 at 9PM ET. There will be a seven-second delay in case any of the ladies start dropping F-bombs. //www.tvsquad.com/2011/03/16/real-housewives-of-miami-live-reunion-special/

Real Housewives: 'Miami' The Last City in Housewives Canon?

Andy Cohen dropped a bombshell on OK! Magazine yesterday. According to an interview with the magazine, the man behind most of the hits on Bravo's schedule revealed that The Real Housewives of Miami , the current incarnation of the the network's ever popular Real Housewives franchise, will be the "last stop" in terms of new locales for the series. "I think we're really done," Cohen told OK after the magazine asked which city was next for the Bravo series. So all of those talks about the show popping up in Texas, New Orleans, and Nashville have officially been nullified. Or have they? Maybe Cohen wants us to think that since casting for the last three series ( D.C. , Beverly Hills , and Miami ) had been linked long before press for the shows began. Or maybe Cohen feels that the backlash from D.C. and Miami are indicators of an early burnout for the series is a sign to stop while Bravo is ahead. Whatever the reason for this somewhat quiet announcement from Cohen, we are on the fence about this piece of news for two reasons. 'Real Housewives of Miami's' Marysol Patton: My mother cursed me

You may think we've seen our fair share of witches on Bravo's "Real Housewives" series, but "The Real Housewives of Miami" can actually claim a real witch (or "seer" as cast member Marysol Patton calls her mother).Marysol's 76-year-old mother is one of the standout figures in Tuesday's (Feb. 22 series premiere) and if you thought Marysol's face (which she denies having had work on) is unique, then you haven't met her mother, Elsa Carreras Patton. It seems to run in the family. In a recent press call, Marysol describes her mother's gift. "I don't really ask for it, she says about her mother's insights. "She just kind of tells me what she feels when she feels something and now I listen to her because she's always dead on." Her mother doesn't stop at just reading one's fortune, she casts curses, too. Marysol says that she has been the recipient of at least one of those."When I got... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/02/real-housewives-of-miamis-marysol-patton-my-mother-cursed-me.html

Larsa Pippen Introduces Husband Scottie and Her Children on 'Real Housewives of Miami' Premiere (VIDEO)

Bravo debuted the latest in their most successful franchise. Which means a whole new batch of women as 'The Real Housewives of Miami' (Tue., 10PM on Bravo) were introduced to us. The most obvious stand-out, perhaps because of her star husband, is Larsa Pippen. But based on her introductions of her children, the real housewife may be one of them. She said of her youngest son, Justin, that he "dominates the house. He yells, he screams, he has to have his way." That's the very kind of behavior we've seen on full display from various housewives across all the franchises. The main difference is that these are grown women. Justin is four years old. //www.tvsquad.com/2011/02/23/larsa-pippen-the-real-housewives-of-miami-premiere-video/

'Real Housewives of Miami' sneak-y preview: Our snap judgments

Can we all agree that Bravo can be very sneaky? If you weren't watching "Watch What Happens Live" after "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" reunion, then you would have missed Andy Cohen's announcement: A sneak peek of the first episode of "Real Housewives of Miami" would air immediately after his show. Very sneaky, indeed. Our first impression is that this cast doesn't have a shrinking violet in the bunch. They're a group of very confident women. Of course, that could be the impression all the "Real Housewives" casts want us to believe after the first episode. Though, this group really puts the "sass" in sassy. There's something to be said for the ethnic flavor of this cast. Our favorite line? When Adriana explained why Miami gave her so much confidence. She said that she's considered beautiful in Miami and doesn't have to be blue-eyed and blonde to feel validated. That's a pretty powerful statement to us that... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/02/real-housewives-of-miami-sneak-y-preview-our-snap-judgments.html

Real Housewives: Meet The Miami Housewives (Finally!); RHONY Postponed (What?!)

While tending to some legal business today, it seems like the TV world had a conniption and unleashed all sorts of crazy news today, most notably in the world of the Real Housewives franchise. Today, Bravo thought it would be cute to not only officially reveal the long gestating (and mostly rumored) Real Housewives of Miami to the world, but blindsight us with a February 22 premiere date in the process. The latest cast of women to join the ever growing ranks of Real Housewife -dom consists of Lea Black, Marysol Patton, Cristy Rice, Alexia Echevarria, Larsa Pippen, and Adriana DeMouri-Sidi. While I ask you to expect the fleshed out bios for each of the women soon, one thing is certain about the latest Housewives clique: they are a sharp decline from the opulence that is the Beverly Hills clan.
