'Secret Circle' Recap: 'Curse'

Cassie and Adam are so committed to the Secret Circle they were willing to swallow a magical elixir they knew would wipe away their romance in order to save Jake, who they just found out is (or at least, was) a killer. While it was incredibly sad, tragic and noble of them, it was all for naught, because: They were being played! By John Blackwell! Yes, the "Curse" from which last night's episode of " The Secret Circle " took its name was all a lie concocted by none other than Cassie's father, John Blackwell. Turns out Mr. "I don't use or have my dark magic anymore" Blackwell is very much in possession of enough magic to make Jake very sick, manipulate Jane's memories (poor Jane and the constant monkeying with her mind by basically everyone over the age of 18!), kill a bunch of birds and cause Adam to fall out of love with Cassie. Blackwell may look cool as a cucumber as he's constantly popping that collar, but he's been up to no good and spreading lies all around town. The Secret Circle 1.17 "Curse" Review

Whenever one experiences grief following a tragic incident, there's always an urge to want to change things and try to find some way to make it "better". It's human nature, of course, but once a major disruption occurs in our lives, we start brainstorming ways to get things as close to the prior status quo as possible. Bargaining, the third stage of grief in the Kubler-Ross model, can take the form of incentives ("if I do X, then please let Y happen") or simple desire to change places with the person most affected; however, it never pans out. In real life, there's no "takesy backsies", if you will, making bargaining an important hurdle to get over in the slow march toward acceptance. Luckily,  The Secret Circle  says to hell with grief, thanks to a little thing called magic. Read More... //feedproxy.google.com/~r/tvovermind/tvnews/~3/TBY1-9913_8/the_secret_circle_curse_review

The Secret Circle “Curse” Review

The trailers  for  The Secret Circle  episode ‘Curse’ said someone would die. No one died. Which was slightly disappointing after a week speculating about who it might be, but that storyline ended up being fantastic. Alas, the Faye/Lee/Eva storyline I was hoping would be pretty amazing fell flat. So let’s start with the good. After spending the night together , Cassie and Adam wake up to shiny new information: there’s a curse, their night together will kill one of their circle, they can’t be together. Turns out the dying member of the circle was Jake, and the trio spent most of the episode traipsing around the woods looking for an ingredient for an elixir that would save his life. They find it, but not before an hallucinating Jake inadvertently admits to killing Calvin, the witchy good supplier who was attempting to help Cassie earlier this season. The outcome: Jake lives, but now Cassie doesn’t trust him. Read More... //www.tvequals.com/2012/03/23/the-secret-circle-curse-review/

'The Secret Circle' Recap: This Curse is Berserk

Cassie and Adam's fornication leads to eminent death since it is a curse; Faye and friends fight off the crazed Eva; the adults plot each other's destruction. A normal-ish episode of The Secret Circle . //www.buddytv.com/articles/the-secret-circle/the-secret-circle-recap-this-c-44647.aspx

The Secret Circle Review: Secrets and Lies

There were a lot of twists and turns in " Curse " and it left the future a blank slate. John? A liar. Lee? Dead. Eva? Powers gone. Adam and Cassie? Their love vanished. Let's analyze how it went down. What did I miss with Jane? I knew she was away, but not in a nuthouse. I was very confused. It was helpful that she was out of her mind, because her thinking Cassie was Amelia made her spill her guts about the curse with very little motivation. It was as if that's all she was thinking about and the entire reason she was in her predicament in the first place. The Secret Circle Recap of Season 1, Episode 17 "Curse": Love Lost

Who needs sex education classes when The Secret Circle is around? This week, Cassie (Britt Robertson) and the gang got up to their usual antics (unlocking car locks, etc), but they also learned a valuable lesson about teenage witch sex: It kills wildlife. Bird FluLast time we checked in on Cassie and Adam (Thomas Dekker), they were passionately making love while a flock of birds entered into a murder/suicide pact above their heads. If you're shocked that their union caused the extinction of an... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/Kfz7qouUcgQ/the-secret-circle-recap-of-season-1-episode-17-curse-love-lost
