The Vampire Diaries Recap: Figuring Out Crazy

Hey, guys! Last night was fun. Did you have fun? I had a blast. There was that crazy new witch, and Paul Wesley eating tons of carbs, and Damon and Elena just sexing each other like crazy against lockers. It was a good episode.   Let’s chat! Tom Avery! You want to talk about irony? This dude’s hair was anything from a hero’s and yet there he was, saving lives, blood everywhere, not trying to murder a bunch of peeps. Season Five, episode 17: "It’s What’s Inside That Counts."  Plus 12. I thought sex was supposed to make you happier than that. Elena definitely did not look too psyched. Minus 8. Also Ian looked a little like he was posing for a college kid doing a dude sketch. No points , but that strategic sheet placement, Jesus. This absurd idea that Caroline would kill a human —  a doctor  — made me laugh out loud during that scene with Enzo. I liked when he teased her, too. Caroline really does have chemistry with any male on this show.   Read More... //www.vulture.com/2014/03/vampire-diaries-recap-season-5-rescue-me.html

'The Vampire Diaries' recap: Another doppelganger bites the dust

Let's sing this together now, shall we? Dun dun dun ... another one bites the dust!Yes, "The Vampire Diaries" said goodbye to yet another doppelganger on Thursday (March 27), as Tom Avery, an Atlanta EMT with some questionable hair and who looks exactly like Paul Wesley, was unceremoniously killed in a deal made with the Travelers. So did Caroline really kill an innocent, nice guy to save Stefan's mind and memories? Read on for the recap of "Rescue Me" ...Even after Caroline made Sloan promise to stop "psychically doppel-bombing" poor Tom Avery through Stefan to save Stefan from being memory robbed again, she keeps on keeping on, searching for more information that could help Caroline and Enzo find the guy -- while on what's got to be one of the most awkward road trips ever. The Vampire Diaries 5.17 Review: “Rescue Me”

It looks like we’ve got a witchy war brewing on  The Vampire Diaries  with Stefan and Elena caught in the middle.  Relationship drama aside, shocking revelations were made and unexpected new alliances were formed in this episode. We last left Damon and Elena as they both agreed that their relationship is toxic, but their actions didn’t exactly follow their words.  They’re waking up in a broken bed but have no time to talk as Elena is running late for Jeremy’s parent-teacher meeting.  Of course Damon shows up at the school too (after a few necessary drinks at the Grill) because he is listed as Jeremy’s guardian. That leads me to talk about what Jeremy’s really been up to, besides missing an alarming number of days at school.  Damon first saw him at the Grill earlier talking to Liv, and we really learned the truth about what’s going on between them.  Luke and Liv’s covers were blown as now everyone knows they’re witches.  If it weren’t for the Travelers advancing on Mystic Falls, they wouldn’t be as desperate as they are.  They seem to know what the Travelers are capable of, and they know that Elena and Stefan are important to them.  Jeremy, along with Tyler and Matt, make a deal with Luke and Liv that they’ll help them fight the Travelers if the siblings in turn protect Elena.  I have to say I really like this new trio of Jeremy/Matt/Tyler working and now living together! The Vampire Diaries Review: War of the Witches

If I were Damon and Elena, I really wouldn't mind breaking up everyday as long as it leads to that steaminess. However,  The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 17  didn't entirely revolve around our resident are they/aren't they couple. Unfortunately, it was largely focused on the mumbo jumbo of the Travelers. (NOTE: I say  unfortunately  not because I love the whole love triangle, but because I just dislike the travelers that much.) In a continuation of what we learned on  The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 16 , Caroline and Enzo had to kill Stefan's doppelganger to make things right with the travelers; it's what they agreed to when they got the crazy cures from them.   Read more:  //www.tvfanatic.com/2014/03/the-vampire-diaries-review-war-of-the-witches/#ixzz2xI53Kbzj

The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Review “Rescue Me”

In the latest episode of “The Vampire Diaries,” Caroline and Enzo, aka the “Atlanta Assassination Squad,” continued their hunt for one Tom Avery, aka Stefan’s doppelganger, and the last thing standing in the way of the Travelers and whatever their ultimate goal is. They kill him, and Stefan goes free- or so they claimed, in the aptly-titled “Rescue Me.” (Cue “Rescue Me” song of choice. Myself, I went with this  one, but  this  one is probably more apropos and kudos to you if you thought of  this  one, or even this  one. Moving on…) I loved the Atlanta in-jokes early on. Of course, the show shoots in that area, but I myself used to live there as well, so I had to chuckle when Enzo termed it “a city full of freeways, fried green tomatoes and terrible drivers” and lamented how “every other street in this blasted city is Peachtree.” Enzo, you ain’t never lied. So true. Atlanta, I loves ya, but you people need to learn to drive, please. And label streets with more variety.
