'The Walking Dead' Season 4: Andrew Lincoln doubts Rick Grimes' new peace will 'last very long'

A much more tranquil Rick Grimes? That's what Andrew Lincoln is promising as "The Walking Dead" makes its return. The zombies' rampage continues when the AMC series' fourth season starts Sunday, Oct. 13, but survivors' leader Rick is now on the sidelines in the battle against them. The London-born actor who plays him believes the change gives a nice wraparound to the saga thus far, though how long Rick's relative peace will last is anyone's guess."I don't think it's spoiling anything by saying that," the friendly Lincoln confirms of the initially quieter place his character is in. "I can say this: The first season was very much about the man discovering this new world and searching for his family. The second season was a struggle for leadership, an ideology, which was Rick vs. Shane (Jon Bernthal) ... pragmatism over morality."The third season was very much a clash of two civilizations, and I suppose the fourth season... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/09/the-walking-dead-season-4-andrew-lincoln-doubts-rick-grimes-new-peace-will-last-very-long.html

The Walking Dead to Get “Companion Series” on AMC in 2015!

How freakin’ cool is this? According toDeadline, AMC is developing a companion series toThe Walking Dead, with a target launch date of 2015. Original producers Robert Kirkman (who also wrote the comics), Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert are on board as executive producers, so this will be a fully legit spin-off. “Building on the success of the most popular show on television for adults 18-49 is literally a no-brainer,” Charlie Collier, AMC’s president and general manager, said in a statement.... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/hASkhcL0cCI/2013-09-16-spin-off-amc-2015

'The Walking Dead' companion series being developed by AMC for 2015 premiere

When it works, make another one and hope it works just as well. That's the plan for AMC, when it comes to "The Walking Dead." The network has announced it's developing a companion series set in the "Walking Dead" universe, which will follow different characters.Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert, executive producers on "The Walking Dead," will also work on the new show. Kirkman, who also created the graphic novel, says, "The opportunity to make a show that isn't tethered by the events of the comic book, and is truly a blank page, has set my creativity racing."Season 4 of "The Walking Dead" is set to hit AMC on October 15, with the new show aiming to premiere sometime in 2015. It sounds like the show will follow a new group of survivors on their journey through that world, but who knows where it will take place. "It's a big world and we... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/09/the-walking-dead-companion-series-being-developed-by-amc-for-2015-premiere.html

The Walking Dead Season 4 Spoilers: "Mother Nature Herself" Is Closing In — New Threat Revealed?

So is the big new threat on The Walking Dead Season 4 … Mother Nature? We’ve been told it’s not zombies and it’s not other people, so one of our guesses was weather/a natural disaster. Season 4 is featured in Entertainment Weekly’s new Fall TV Preview, and there’s a surprising tease from (usually) spoiler-phobe writer/producer Robert Kirkman. Here's the portion of the story, from EW’s hard copy: "The survivors will have to deal with a dramatic increase in the number of attacking... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/1zlRyFDQh4Y/2013-09-14-season-4-spoilers-mother-nature

'The Walking Dead' Season 4 Spoilers: A New Threat Looms Over Prison

The Walking Dead returns in October with a six to seven month time jump to find the prison residents living in a almost home-like situation. Despite their new upgraded surroundings, they will continue to deal with threats constantly.  Read More... //www.buddytv.com/articles/the-walking-dead/twd-new-threat-season4-spoiler-51171.aspx

The Walking Dead Season 4 Spoilers: Will the Zombies Evolve?

How’s this for a bait-and-switch? A fan of The Walking Dead asked TVLine for some new scoop on Season 4, which starts October 13 on AMC. The fan specifically noted “I’d love something on Daryl and Carol.” Side-stepping a pretty obvious request for Caryl news, comic book writer/executive producer Robert Kirkman told TVLine they’ll be facing “some really intense, scary, very detail-oriented zombies [this season]. More so than anything you’ve seen thus far.” Scary zombies are always good, but... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/_dqid1q3V4c/2013-09-11-season-4-spoilers-zombies-evolve

The Walking Dead Season 4 Filming Delayed Due to On-Set Injury

They did warn us The Walking Dead Season 4 would be bigger, badder, meaner and more dangerous than Season 3, we just didn’t expect it to take down production members. Unfortunately, AMC confirmed to 11Alive News in Georgia that a production member was injured on set on Friday, September 6 and had to be airlifted to an Atlanta hospital. It wasn't clear who was hurt or what happened, but the spokesperson did tell the news station that the injuries were not life-threatening and the person was... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/KuYu_sWWLlw/2013-09-10-season-4-filming-delayed-injury

'The Walking Dead' Season 4 trailers: Something evil's 'found its way in'

Something has found its way into the Prison -- or at least that's what the new promo for "The Walking Dead" Season 4 leads us to believe. Just like the recently-debuted poster promises, a new short trailer for the upcoming season shows that the Prison isn't as safe as it once (sort of) was. Another similarly short teaser reveals quick cuts of our favorite survivors as someone begs them, "Please help me." Moral choices of who to welcome into Rick & Co.'s group and who they should exclude have been explored on "The Walking Dead" in the past, most notable in Season 3's "Clear," and it looks like it's a subject that will remain relevant going into Season 4. "The Walking Dead" returns to AMC on Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. ET. Season 4 will introduce some new characters, like Lawrence Gilliard Jr.'s Bob Stookey. It will also see some of the Woodbury survivors... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/09/the-walking-dead-season-4-trailers-something-evils-found-its-way-in.html

'The Walking Dead' Season 4 poster: Rick stands alone in the Prison

"The Walking Dead" Season 4 poster doesn't make it seem like this season will bode well for Rick Grimes. Unlike previous seasons' key art that have focused on the group of survivors, the Season 4 image shows Rick standing alone in front of the Prison in front of a fence that has been torn asunder. It doesn't seem like the Prison will remain a safe haven for the group of survivors much longer -- not that it was especially safe in Season 3 anyway. The peace Rick and company found at the end of Season 3 won't last long in Season 4, as threats from both inside and outside the Prison walls are brewing. The survivors' struggle for survival is pushed to the limits even after the disappearance of the Governor. Considering David Morrissey is a full-time regular in Season 4, it doesn't seem likely that he'll be absent from the show for very... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/09/the-walking-dead-season-4-poster-rick-stands-alone-in-the-prison.html
