'The Walking Dead' Season 4 casts Andrew J. West in mysterious role

"The Walking Dead" has added another new actor for Season 4. As the show heads towards its midseason finale, Andrew J. West has been added for a part that will appear in the second half. Expect the "Greek" alum to stick around for a bit, as well. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that West will be credited as a "guest star" in Season 4, and has the option of being upped to a series regular next season. West will play a character named Gareth, who isn't found in "The Walking Dead" comics. It's being reported that he'll be a "remix" of an "unidentified character from the series," and that he is a "big presence" and plays an "important character" in the show. Other major characters from the comics still yet to be introduced in Season 4 are Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Josh McDermitt as Eugene and Christian Serratos as Rosita. "The Walking Dead" airs Sundays... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/11/the-walking-dead-season-4-casts-andrew-j-west-in-mysterious-role.html

The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 6: “Live Bait” More Photos — The Governor Finds a New Family!

The Governor (David Morrissey) returned to The Walking Dead earlier this week in Season 4, Episode 6: “Live Bait”, and although he kicked off the installment aimlessly wandering around alone, unable to kill even one walker, he finished of the ep with a new family (Lilly, Tara, and Meghan Chambler) and realized he would kill as many walkers as necessary to protect them. Not long ago (in the Season 3 finale to be exact) this was a man who killed dozens of his own people in cold blood. We are... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/pbkY2G1iBpo/2013-11-20-season-4-episode-6-live-bait-photos

The Walking Dead Season 4: The Governor Is “Rising Again” (VIDEO)

The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 6: “Live Bait”, was the first of two standalone episodes for The Governor (David Morrissey). As TWD creator and show executive producer Robert Kirkman says in the behind the scenes video below, this installment was a “bit of a departure” for the show, which traditionally focuses on multiple characters and conflicts at one time. Still, Robert notes that Episode 6 was also “something of a risk that I’m really excited we’ve decided to take.” Lastly, it marked... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/S9XhBxnvngo/2013-11-19-season-4-governor-is-rising-again-video

The Walking Dead Season 4: The Governor Is Here to Stay!

The Governor (David Morrissey) was completely absent from the first four episodes of The Walking Dead Season 4. The onetime leader showed up very briefly at the end of Episode 5: “Internment” as the camera showed him lurking around the prison, and Episode 6: “Live Bait” was entirely devoted to his character as it addressed what happened after the Woodbury killing spree shown in the Season 3 finale. The November 24 installment — Episode 7: “Dead Weight” — will be another Governor-centric... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/vDNX03d-Lyc/2013-11-19-season-4-governor-david-morrissey-stay

‘The Walking Dead’s’ David Morrissey: ‘This Show has Ruined ‘Mad Men’ for Me’ (Video)

It sounds like acting on “The Walking Dead” really sucks sometimes — except for “The Governor,” David Morrissey. The show films in the heat and humidity of Georgia, which is bad enough for actors and crew, Morrissey told Conan O’Brien Monday. But then add the hours and layers of makeup and prosthetics, and it’s not even the best show to be cast in on its own network.  Read More... //www.thewrap.com/the-walking-dead-david-morrissey-mad-men-amc-conan?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=walking-deads-david-morrissey-show-ruined-mad-men-video

The Walking Dead Season 4: Can The Governor Be Redeemed?

The Governor (David Morrissey), aka “Brian,” just reared his one-eyed head in The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 6, “Live Bait.” “Brian” played hero/daddy/savior for his new friends: nurse Lily, her daughter Megan, Lily’s sister, Tara, and their now deceased father. But we know there’s a darkness in The Gov. He knows it too, and David Morrissey said Season 4 will show his character’s Jekyll and Hyde nature. Vulture asked if we’re supposed to empathize with his mass-murdering man because he’s... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/NlCQDRTG-EE/2013-11-18-season-4-can-governor-redeemed

The Walking Dead Season 4: Will Rick Grimes Kill The Governor?

What's going to happen on The Walking Dead Season 4 when The Governor (David Morrissey) reunites with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Team Prison? In Episode 6, “Live Bait,” we saw “Brian” teach young Megan how to play chess. “You can lose a lot of soldiers but still win the game,” he tells her, adding that the king is the guy you want to capture. Foreshadowing for Rick? It looks like next week’s Episode 7, “Dead Weight,” will involve The Gov. and his new group interacting with Martinez and... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/Z6WzW1IQV6o/2013-11-18-season-4-will-rick-grimes-kill-governor

Walking Dead Music: Songs From Season 4, Episode 6, "Live Bait"

What's a villain's journey from lonesome, troubled antihero to ruthless dictator without a little theme music? In The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 6, "Live Bait," we start to get a look at how The Governor (David Morrissey) spent his time in between massacring his people in Woodbury to camping outside the Prison, scored with a little alt-country sawblade. Here's the music we heard while catching up with The Gov on November 17.  Read More... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/FpS9bAo4_5s/2013-11-17-songs-season-4-episode-6

Did The Governor Plan the Woodbury Massacre? 6 Things We Learned About Season 4, Episode 6, "Internment"

Every week after The Walking Dead airs, Chris Hardwick speaks with a selection of cast, crew, and/or guests about the episode we just saw on Talking Dead. This week, November 17, featured The Governor himself, David Morrissey, and Ike Barinholtz of The Mindy Project and Eastbound and Down. We're always happy for another hour of TWD, but this week's Talking Dead was especially informative. Read on to see what we learned about carnage and what's going through The Gov's one-eyed, tormented head... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/pT8ut_OuWy4/2013-11-17-governor-plan-woodbury-massacre

New Photos From The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 6: “Live Bait”

Shuffle this way for new photos from The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 6, "Live Bait," which will air this Sunday, November 17 on AMC. Check out photo #1 here. And photo #2 here. Photo #1 looks like a zombie marathon in action, as about a dozen walkers wander past a sign that says "Pay Pond." How adorable are those two guys who kinda look like they’re leaning on each other? The walker buddy system! The second photo shows a walker lady in a dress outside a cabin in the woods. At least she... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/iNNNP0i6T2Y/2013-11-15-season-4-episode-6-live-bait-photos
