The Arnolds spend their summer vacation at Lake Wenatchee with the Pfeiffers, but Kevin and Paul quickly become bored. To get away from his annoying parents, Kevin and Paul have to pay Wayne and his new buddy Dave Wirtschafter he called "Wart" (Scott Menville) for a ride to the drive-in, where he meets a local girl named Cara (Lisa Gerber), and her brother Billy (Brad Hunt). For the rest of his one week vacation, Kevin spends all his time with her, and romance ensues, ditching "Mr. Hormones" Paul and his misunderstanding family behind.
