The B&Bs range from grand houses to modest seaside semis. Each couple judges their fellow hoteliers on everything from the decoration to cleanliness, and from the all-important breakfast to the local tourist attractions of the area. And at the end of their stay the guests only need pay what they think their visit was worth. But in this weekly competition between Britain's B&B owners, there can be only one winner. After the last payment has been made, who will take away the best B&B title? And when there are Three in a Bed can anyone really get a good night's sleep? Roger Garlick and wife Victoria pit Smugglers Cottage, their historic B&B, against Claire and Mark Smith's five-star B&B Number One in Blackpool, and Joyce and Ray's The Kildare in Skegness. But things get a little bit heated when the issue of the star ratings comes up, resulting in tears before bedtime.
