'Toddlers & Tiaras' Season Premiere: Eden vs. Makenzie Showdown in Texas (VIDEO)

There was high drama, spectacle, heartbreak and at least one ear-splitting meltdown on last night's Season 4 Premiere of 'Toddlers & Tiaras' (Wed., 10PM ET on TLC). The Eden vs. Makenzie rivalry finally came to a head when they both competed in a Texas beauty pageant for the truly magnificent title of "Ultimate Grand Supreme." Which one of them would go on to win the coveted title, which comes with $1,000 and a pink canopy bed? Sadly for them, neither. Six-year old Eden came in second and was crowned "Universal Royalty," taking home a huge, glitzy trophy to add to her already jam-packed trophy cabinet. Ever the pro, little Eden smiled for the judges and audience, but once she came off-stage she just couldn't control her feelings. The Mother of Toddlers & Tiaras' Eden Wood: "We're Not Weirdos, We're Not Freaks"

"Can you put her on the cover?" Mickie Wood asks me as we finish our conversation about her 6-year-old daughter, Eden Wood, who makes her fifth overall appearance (and third as "a feature") on Wednesday's Season 4 premiere of Toddlers & Tiaras (TLC, 10/9c). When Wood realizes this interview is for a website not a magazine, she's much less pushy than you might expect for someone who fits the profile of "stage mom." She has "somewhat of a smattering" of a pageant history herself and started orchestrating Eden's pageant career when her daughter was just over a year old. It's all happening. Yes, it's the season premiere of 'Toddlers & Tiaras'! The series has only been gone for a few months -- but still, there's been a 'Toddlers & Tiaras'-shaped hole in our lives. 'Toddlers and Tiaras' Returning for Third Season

Prepare yourself for more pound-cake makeup, orange spray tans, fake hair and, oh yes, fake teeth, because TLC has renewed 'Toddlers and Tiaras' for a third season. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the unscripted reality series will return on June 2, though no word yet on how many episodes were ordered. The show, which follows young girls as they compete in various beauty pageants, is a big ratings hit for TLC. Last summer's July premiere, for example, earned the show its highest ratings up until that point. Meanwhile, there's more good news to report for TLC fans: The Hollywood Reporter also notes that 'Hoarders: Buried Alive,' about people who can't seem to get rid of anything from their house, will return for a second season, beginning Sundays this fall.
