'Up All Night': Reagan minds her business

"Up All Night" takes us back in time on Wednesday (Oct. 19) -- not as far back as the 1990s music video from a few episodes ago, but just a few months, to the birth of the adorable Amy.A lot -- if not most -- expectant parents may face an unexpected hurdle or two, including the regular doctor not being available. That happens to Reagan (Christina Applegate) and Chris (Will Arnett) too, but Reagan's objection is not just because she's so comfortable with her regular OB/GYN.No, it's because the new guy (guest star Sam Page of "Mad Men" and "Gossip Girl") is a little too ... handsome. Hit play above to get the full explanation from Reagan. We know Amy made it out OK, so either Reagan gets over her initial problem with Dr. Handsome, or they find someone else. Reagan Bonds With a Former Rival Over Destroying a Stroller on 'Up All Night' (VIDEO)

'Up All Night' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC) is still juggling these two seemingly disparate worlds, but with this week's episode that balancing act suddenly made sense. It's the same balancing act Reagan is trying to have with her life. She wants to be the perfect mother, but she's also a driven career woman who wants to be able to go out and party. Just so long as she's home in time for the family before Amy goes to bed. It's the same struggle working mothers deal with every day. They also deal with some stay-at-home moms being judgmental because of their "choice" to work. //

Maya Rudolph Swears She Isn't Doing an Oprah Impression on 'Up All Night' (VIDEO)

On 'Up All Night,' Maya Rudolph plays a flighty talk show host named Ava who's drawn a bevy of comparisons to Oprah Winfrey. Rudolph, who was known for her Oprah impersonation in her 'SNL' days, told 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC) that despite the similarities, Ava isn't Oprah. Rudolph explained that while some may see Ava as an O-clone, it's not what she's trying to do with the character. "People always think I'm doing Oprah I guess, because I did Oprah on the show. You definitely have to have cajones to be a talk show host. I don't think I could personally pull it off being myself, I like being characters more. I'm infusing her with this regal-ness that I like to play." //

'Up All Night': Parenthood is no day at the beach

Chris and Reagan are still getting the hang of being parents on "Up All Night" -- including the particulars of packing up the car for a family outing. It would help, of course, if Reagan (Christina Applegate) had a slightly more practical car. With Chris' (Will Arnett) car in the shop, she gets very psyched to take Amy to the beach in her convertible. Which, as you can see in the clip below from Wednesday's (Oct. 5) episode, doesn't go so well.Neither, we suspect, will the search for a new, more family-friendly vehicle. Don't worry, though, Amy -- they'll get it right eventually."Up All Night" airs at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday on NBC.... //
