'Weeds' EP Says The Botwin Boys Realize 'Nancy Was Their True North'

Over the past six seasons that Nancy Botwin ( Mary-Louise Parker ) has evolved on Showtime’s  Weeds , and life got stranger for the family, the boys have often threatened that they would leave her. At the end of last season, they did just that by escaping American authorities and the Mexican mafia by moving to Copenhagen while Nancy took the fall for Shane’s ( Alexander Gould ) killing of Pilar at the end of Season 5. But, life without Nancy wasn’t everything the Botwin men expected it to be. When you've been associated with a certain type of character for a while, fans might start to share that with you. Maybe people give Bill Cosby sweaters, or tools to Tim Allen. On 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37 AM ET on CBS), Mary-Louise Parker reveals that her fans give her marijuana. Can you imagine what Bryan Cranston's fans are giving him? Parker doesn't smoke pot herself, but said, "I try to be gracious. I'm not gonna not take it." After all, they're always so proud of it. Most, she said, say they grew it themselves and promise her it's excellent. //

'Weeds' welcomes Michelle Trachtenberg in Season 7

The Season 7 premiere of "Weeds" is almost here and to celebrate, we have some casting news for the seventh year of the Botwins' crazy antics. Michelle Trachtenberg of "Gossip Girl" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is joining the cast in a multi-episode arc.According to Showtime, Trachtenberg will play "Emma, a sexy, intelligent, low-level, pot-dealing rival to Nancy (series star Mary-Louise Parker) who catches Silas' (Hunter Parrish) eye." Of course she catches his eye. What doesn't catch Silas' eye? Trachtenberg is scheduled for two episodes as of now.We can't wait to see Georgina Sparks and Dawn Summers as a pot-dealing rival of Nancy's. The show has moved to New York City for its seventh season, so Trachtenberg should feel right at home after "Gossip Girl.""Weeds" premieres Monday, June 27 at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime.... //

Justin Kirk Doesn't Think This Will Be the Final Season of 'Weeds'

While 'Weeds' creator Jenji Kohan has gone on record saying she thinks the seventh season, which premieres tonight at 10PM on Showtime, will be the last for her series, star Justin Kirk isn't so sure. "I think that when it's our last season it will be officially announced, because they will have us write to a series finale," he told AOL TV late last week. "And that has not happened in this particular case." Season 7 flashes forward three years, with Nancy moving from prison to a halfway house in New York City, where she intends to re-start her lucrative pot-dealing business. Meanwhile, her sons and brother-in-law (Kirk) fly in from Copenhagen, where they've been hiding out. Kirk spoke to AOL TV about the ideal 'Bonnie and Clyde'-style ending he envisions for the series, whether he thinks Nancy and Andy should end up together, and which actor is going full-frontal this year. //

To look at Nancy Botwin ( Mary-Louise Parker ) now, it may be difficult to reconcile the version of her we met when the series began and the version that’s just about to leave prison without her family (who have fled to Copenhagen) and totally on her own in New York City. Some may feel that she has strayed way too far from who she really is.
