Yowamushi Pedal episode 38

What a disappointing ending. I knew that they were going to end this season with a cliff-hanger in order to lure people in when the second season starts in October. A three month break for Yowamushi Pedal isn’t such a bad thing. I decided that I would read up on people’s reactions after they saw this episode. Not because I wanted them to help me get my own opinion. Hell no. I couldn’t possibly care any less about what people think of the things I watch. I can make up my own damn mind. I was just curious how they saw this episode. I must say that I was unpleasantly surprised. I saw people going completely nuts over this episode, saying that it was amazing, thrilling and even inspiring. My god… Is the world about to end? There are actually people on this planet that find this incredibly predictable episode amazing, thrilling and/or inspiring? Unbelievable… Read More... //

Yowamushi Pedal episode 37

Yet another horrible and tasteless episode. This one was actually worse because nothing actually happened this time. No idea where Sakamichi and his friends are (although they might appear during the next episode) and no idea what to expect of the second day. It really bothers me that the other characters just let themselves get talked down like that by that creep Akira. Why not beat him off his bicycle? What’s he going to do? Fight back? I don’t think so. He probably got bullied as a kid. Its characters like that that turn into psychopaths that eventually kill dozens of people out of boredom. Read More... //

Yowamushi Pedal episode 36

Horrible episode. What a total disaster of an episode. I completely disagree with it from the bottom of my very being. It makes me want to quit watching Yowamushi Pedal. Lucky for me that there are only two episodes left… Akira won the sprinting award. I absolutely disagree with this crap! How could he win just by pushing the bike a little bit forward with this disgusting body? Can’t that character just fall of his bike and die already? He pisses me off to no end… Read More... //

Yowamushi Pedal episode 35

So this season’s finale is probably going to be a huge disappointment by the way things are going right now. That’s right, a second season will appear later this year or early next year. Will I review that season? Probably not. Will I watch it? Definitely. Another short Yowamushi Pedal post… That’s right. I cannot help but hate the fact that Akira, a pathetic creep whose parents probably feel nothing but shame when his name is mentioned, still stood in the spotlight as he raced (and lost) against Hakone’s ace sprinter. Why can’t guy just hit a tree or a big rock and fall? Is that so much to ask? Read More... //

Yowamushi Pedal episode 34

I bet you’ve noticed how I keep writing short Yowamushi Pedal posts. I cannot help it. My motivation is almost completely gone. There are four episodes left and they’re only halfway through their second day… What kind of ending can we expect at this point!? It still annoys me how that creepy character is still in the picture. He is picking fights with everybody and thinks he’s some kind of god. I know that parents are supposed to love their children no matter what, but can you really love something that ugly, vindictive and mentally unstable? I don’t know… I would’ve sold that little sh*t on craigslist for sure. Read More... //

Yowamushi Pedal episode 33

I think that this is the first time that a Yowamushi Pedal episode left me speechless at the end. I expected several things from this episode, but definitely not this. I expected failure, a sudden boost and a predictable outcome. We got all of that, sure, but not in the way I had expected. So Sakamichi went back for Jin. I knew something like that was going to happen. Jin was done for on his own and there’s no way that Yuusuke, the team’s number one climber, would go back for one guy. It’s obvious that Sakamichi would go. Now we have Sakamichi and Jin in one team, Yuusuke and Shoukichi in another team and Shunsuke and Shingo at the front. Read More... //

Yowamushi Pedal episode 32

How in the hell are they going to end this? There are only six episodes left and the second day of the race has just begun. It took about half a dozen episodes for them to cover the first day… I have a bad feeling about this… I’m not even going to bother thinking about why Sakamichi’s mother showed up at this point. The show is running out of time and suddenly she shows up to raise a little bit of hell? Yes, comedy would do nicely right about now, but for her to show up right now instead of seeing her shocked face as she watches her little boy ride that bike at high speed… Meh… Read More... //

Yowamushi Pedal episode 31

Extremely short post incoming. I pulled a muscle today during work and now I’m in incredible pain. I think writing and scheduling this post might take me an hour or so. I keep having to stop because the pain is getting too much for me to bear. Okay… Day one is finally over and there were three winners. Bullsh*t anyone? I’d have been okay if Hakone had won day one, but to think that that slimy weasel won, too… The worst! That guy is so annoying. The author really did a great job by creating one of the most annoying and easy-to-hate characters in the history of racing anime. Read More... //

Yowamushi Pedal episode 30

Okay, this is basically it, isn’t it? There are still about eight episodes left if I’m not mistaken. It’s becoming clear that they are going to end this soon. We might even end up with an episode of two that doesn’t involve their race. Unfortunately, I have not a lot that I want to say about this episode. It was kind of expected. Yes, Yowamushi Pedal is running out of episodes to air, but still they make time to air a few flashback scenes and scene that basically make me want to rip my eyes out. Honestly, I couldn’t care less for some of the characters. Read More... //

Yowamushi Pedal episode 29

A pretty good episode. I thought that Yuusuke would win since Jinpachi seemed like such a douchebag, and we all know that douchebags never win. He turned out to be a pretty fanatic character with a lot of passion. I honestly should’ve seen it coming. Sohoku won the springing award a few episodes ago, so it’s only natural if Hakone won the climbing award. They’ve both won something. Now all that’s left is for either one of them to win the race altogether, and we all know which team is going to win… Sohoku will definitely win this thing. Read More... //
