Off to a great start in the apocalyptic, lonerism state and having all the options in the world to do anything, but nobody to share it with. Every since the arrival of Carol the series have been involving into a thin line of a guy not getting the girl, and I'm hoping very much future episodes will have more to it.
A perfect homage to the 90's, but with thick Irish accents, total chaos and The Cranberries rolling in the end credits. This show is something else.
Honestly, I expected to give more credit to this show - at first it seemed to mess with sitcom clichés, the writing was clever and it didn't take itself so seriously. Realising after season 1 that this chaotic course they were taking didn't change, it didn't seem worth the effort to continue.
Not to mention our main character is SO unlikeable, you would need mighty strength to keep watching this. Bummer.
Already one of the best shows of 2018. The story is not for everyone - you might find some things hard to understand.
But if this theme, style, Tarantino-music, dark humour and wonderful character arcs of seemingly crazy people are you're thing, you will treasure these series forever.
Puts the thrill in thriller. Twisted plot until the very end. Can't wait for next season.
Couldn't even get through the first episode. Terrible.
Following these series from the first to the last episode, I've been wondering why The Walking Dead got to be so incredibly frustrating. Season 6 & 7 have been nothing but filler to tell one small part of the plot and I'm wondering if anything after this will be worth it. Up to those seasons, I was invested in most of the characters and could not wait to see their future unfold.
After seeing the Youtube review from YMS, a lot of things that bothered me got clarified. If you don't know what happened to the original director and creator of the show, and how the story is running a totally different course, be sure to check it out.
It is worth knowing what could have been, and what it is now.
Dark comedy at it's finest.
I would have loved to see the Gilmore Girls Special to tell us how our characters have grown and what they are planning to do in the future, which was kind of the point of having all the extra airtime for fans, right?
Instead, it left me and friends yelling at the TV due to Lorelai & Rory's characters turning more ugly by the minute and ignoring the lives of everyone else (Sookie? Lane? Hello?)
On top of that, I was incredibly frustrated with the chosen story line of the writer ("it ends this way because life ends this way"). Which would be a legitimate argument if this show would reflect anything close to real life, which it doesn't.
I'll won't take any spite on Gilmore Girls for it and the series remain the same to me; but skipping this Special might leave you better off.
A perfect harmony of absurdity and chaos as never seen before.
