Wonderful movie from various points of view.

First of all, it is the atmosphere! The makers succeeded in recreating the England of the beginning of the XXth century. But not only the surroundings, but the details: all the houses, cars, clothes, everything seems to be honest, alive, one may see that the pubs are visited, houses are lived in, the cars are used. One may see, that this is not only fresh made decorations, but these are used. So you start believing in this.

Then, of course, it is the music, that add to the plot and characters development. And the music is not the one of the era (jazz, Charleston or any 20s and 30s music) it is modern indie, alternative rock. And, amazingly enough, it fits just perfectly!

Communication and negotiation skills of the main character, Thomas. It is just a staff of legend! All the tough communications are such intense and one can feel that these are negotiations „on the edge” with no strict and clear end.

And, no doubts, haircuts and dresses. Even if these are one century ago, when watching the movie, you want to get your haircut as bobby as you can and search for the clothes that would have such textile and style.

I give this series a 4.5 instead of 5, because of the 3rd season, that, in my opinion, was weak and strange, comparing with the other 3.
