How do I love thee, Television, let me count the ways. I simply love television and all the possibilities the medium contains. Be it mini series, long arcs in drama series or clutching my stomach from laughing at the antics in a sitcom. I'm especially down for a some dramatic comedy or comedic drama. I'm amazed by web series and floored over consistent character development. I have a deep love for British series, flawed characters and one hit wonders among other things.
Okay, so you either find Bo funny, or you don't get him. I happen to like his brand of comedy. Songs a plenty, things that go on too long and then turn around and become funny again. He tackles a lot of topics with surprising depth and honestly makes me think about them. Super fun, weird and intelligent.
Doctor Who is always an adventure. Not all adventures are the best. but the majority really are fun, imaginative, engaging and really campy. For a show about an alien it is remarkably human, but mostly just a fun adventure show for everyone.
The best Aziz Ansari show I've ever seen. Aziz has perfect delivery and this show is super topical in addition to being extremely funny.
This is what a live musical extravaganza should be. Super fun, dynamic scenes and fabulous singing. Great cast, but Keke Palmer and Jordan Fisher really shine. This fantastic and I hope more television musicals follow in it's steps.
Simple really. I love movies, The Oscars love movies. I therefore love the Oscars. The hosts are hit and miss, but generally do a decent job, but this whole event is not about them, but the movies, performances and general love of movies.
18th century living was not fun. In Lady W Natalie Dormer gets to be dramatic, forceful, belittled and just sad. She gives a great performance as does the rest of the cast. The set and costumes are beautiful, as is the cinematography.
Fun and dramatic. You never really know what is going to happen. Odd in just the right ways and has great performances from everyone involved. Saddened that it only lasted a season, but I'm so glad it got to exist.
I like Stevie. And that is about it. It is moody and well done, it just didn't capture my attention at all and I had to force myself to watch it to the end.
This is a really beautiful miniseries. The characters still feel like Austen characters, the mystery is interesting and the acting really good. It was really just enjoyable to be able to spend a few hours in the company of these characters.
This show is amazingly bonkers. The performances are strong - especially Sheehan, Thomas and Rheon. As others have mentioned it loses steam in the latter seasons, but it is still a solid show. Wicked funny at times and very dramatic at others. A very good blend of genres. Also their powers are hilariously dumb at times.
