Frankly, they had me at "Anton Yelchin." And damn if they didn't keep me from the first few lines. The animation is great, the world is impressively well designed, and the voice actors are - as expected - absolutely perfect. Kids and adults alike will love this show. There are numerous references (subtle and otherwise) to Shakespeare, world mythologies, and geeky pop culture. I will definitely be watching this more than once.

Oh goodness, this is a tough one. I wanted to like this show, I really *really* did. The first two episodes weren't bad. They were enjoyable and a good introduction to the world and characters. The acting isn't great, though some of the actors are certainly a deal better than others. But I gave up 15 minutes into the third episode. It was just so cheesy and painful to watch. The writing is just awful. I've read the books (ok, I'm 3 books in so far) and the show is just different enough to be strangely confusing to those who've read the books, but not different enough to keep things interesting. I think a more faithful telling of the books would have kept the attention of fans of the books better. I mean really, since when have fans of a book complained that the movie/tv show is TOO FAITHFUL to the books? Someone needs to tell the writers of this show that that's not a thing. Even all of the gorgeous people on the show (Jace's eyes... omg I'm in love) aren't enough to keep my attention.

Fantastic writing and acting! I love this show. It's such an interesting take on Da Vinci, something I'd consider more of magical realism rather than pure fantasy. Plus, I thoroughly enjoy watching and listening to the main actor, which never hurts :D

So unique and wonderful. The actors are fantastic and although the plot can be a little hard to get into at first, the series rewards your patience. Once you're fully immersed in the Dollhouse world, you can't help but love the characters. It will break your heart in so many wonderful ways.

First of all, this is one of the first anime shows I've watched, so I can't claim to have any sort of expertise. So just in terms of story and characters and such, I really enjoyed it. The writing wasn't the best - the dialogue felt a bit expository and repetitive - but the story and characters were a lot of fun. I cried at the end. Happy, bittersweet, real tears rolling down my cheek. It's a short, but sweet show.

This got cancelled too quickly, I think. It had a lot of potential. It was quirky, unique, and a lot of fun to watch. It could have pulled an "American Horror Story" thing and completed changed up the story/cast every season and done some fun things. As is the one season it got was great!

Very much hits all the classic tropes of the rom-com genre while managing to make it into a weekly show. I really enjoy it - but it's not exactly quality programming in regards to writing or acting. That said, I definitely plan to continue watching it.

Obviously I'm watching this way after it was a craze (yay for Netflix!)... so I know that there are going to be a lot of questions that are just never answered. But I still really enjoyed the first two seasons. Then it started getting weird and I got bored. It's gonna take me a long time to get through it all.

Roommates

Ok... realistically, this is a terrible show. However, the male roommate is hilarious and completely carries the show with his listening in on everyone's ridiculous schemes. Total instigator. This is definitely a guilty pleasure show!

So much fun and definitely pegs some of the aspects of greek life (while also overplaying others, but at least it doesn't rely entirely on the stereotypes). Makes me nostalgic for college and my sisters!
