Brilliantly captures the humor in the awkwardness and absurdity of everyday life in a way that I thought could only be done with adlibbing, improv, or light-hearted documentary, but they managed to do it with music!
I think I would be happy just sitting alone in a room reading the brilliant scripts for this show, but when you add the amazing acting and chemistry from Cumberbatch and Freeman, and great cinematography and production values, it might be my favorite show currently on television.
A very predictable show. Also, couldn't the actors have taken a five minute course on German pronunciation? It's painful, but it is made worse by the fact that each character seems to call the same Vesen by a different name at each moment because they can't decide how to pronounce it.
This show is a fantastically funny parody of 80s television. If you never saw 80s television you will hate this show. It is meant to be cheap looking, over the top, and poorly acted. I wish there had been more than one season.
I expected not to like this show, both because of the pseudoscience and for the hackneyed military-super-soldier-clone-experiment-conspiracy narrative. I was surprised to find a beautifully filmed and elegantly directed series with amazing acting from Tatiana Maslany, strong character development, and non-formulaic plot progression. It is consistently entertaining and well paced, while not being vapid due to it's examination of the meaning and significance of personal identity, and value and structure of human relationships.
