It does make me laugh how S2 had us in our feelings for Charles, then S4 & S5 said no he's full on trash forget him. & now he's the KIng.
Netflix knows what its doing cause S5 has you looking sideways and waiting for the listicle on 20 similarities between MM & Diana.
Also i'm still dead at Phillip's comment about Andrew being the Queen's fave. I hope the future society looks at this as a reality show about the royals cause its messy as heck.
*trigger warning* themes of domestic abuse, coercive control, stalking
This show doesn't tell you this though!
Total lack of follow up on the domestic abuse relationship the FL was in and her best friend is a therapist. Not one line does he utter in a way that could clue unaware viewers into getting support. Other than a social media video by the perpetrators ex about love bombing. Also no Call this number if you've been affected by what you've seen.
So good story but don't use triggering themes if you aren't going to follow up. It's also based on a book that i think addresses it better, at least the articles note the abuse themes and signpost.
Purely for the 1st season. I bailed after S2. I couldn't after that bathroom scene. Also i wished ill will on all those kids, you all sucked i don't want to freeze frame and read about how you overcame. Freeze frame and say that you changed genre to a Carrie-esque Prom blood bath. The End.
The acting and story was outstanding in S1 though. They definitely dragged the story on for too long and there is a lot of truth in no one really gets any justice when it comes to bullying and SA in HS that can lead to these consequences. So there was never gonna be a happy ever after, but don't pull us into more BS. Parent or student in that town?? Transfer, move, or stay with relatives.
It's the gift that keeps on giving. I will always recommend people get back into South Park, i think like The Simpsons, Family Guy & American Dad it's been on forever and you just don't watch it anymore. However out of the mainstay adult animation, these guys are doing what those comedy political shows are doing. Animated but also in a bizarre you know what this makes sense. If you need that youtube video that explains what happened this week on the show you watch or the insta post that breaks down a current story. Tune back into South Park because it's bloody hilarious and its evolved. Also Cartman is still a total douchebag, worst person ever if you don't like change and like Hollywood live for the nostalgia.
I watched a few episodes of this before I remembered, I can’t stand teenage drama.
Whilst the niche is that this is a young transgender girl on her journey through life and you know go her! But and it’s a big ole BUTT… Let’s be honest we can’t stand our teenage family members who are going through that awkward moody stage, with every problem being the end of the world.
So much like them, talk to me when you’re through the other side.
I can’t help but hate shows or movies where one character is repeatedly getting away with the stupidest things; but everyone is like “eh whatever…this guy! Am I right?” *cough* Horrible Bosses 1 or 2 *cough*.
Rob Lowe (Dean) is always coming up smelling roses, whilst Fred Savage (Stuart) is the guy who just has to tolerate it all. Sometimes people agree with him but other times they just think he’s cynical and doesn’t know what he’s on bout.
Despite this I think due to the casting,
I have to say its probably Claire who makes me feel better about the show because for now she calls Dean out on his BS which is fantastic. I say for now though because come on we all know they’ll eventually hook up, she might still be like “I’m not buying it” but her heart will have warmed.
Great show screw you TV execs
Curling your hair people...this is what will make us all look younger.
It's fun and kind of makes you do a double take when shes suddenly younger.
Had me hooked from the title sequence it's a great and simple way to open the show, whilst letting us know which family we'll be with that week. I doubt we'll see a cutdown on that as well which is always a bonus.
Great ensemble cast provide an interesting and yet relatable way to look at family/in-law dynamics which can't help but make you laugh cause you just get it.
Won't be long before people are asking, which family member are you?
yeah it got old quick. only so many times you can see Kim's ugly crying face although best episode when her siblings are just major hating on her. Kourtney...I'm trying not to laugh but it's hard cause Kim has such an ugly crying face. Classic
