Animated comedy focusing on the employees of an international spy agency. At ISIS, an international spy agency, global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other. At the center of it all is suave master spy Sterling Archer, whose less-than-masculine code name is "Duchess." Archer works with his domineering mother Malory, who also is his boss. He also has to deal with his ex-girlfriend, Agent Lana Kane and her new boyfriend, ISIS comptroller Cyril Figgis, as well as Malory's lovesick secretary, Cheryl.
Possibly the best comedy (and maybe even the best show) ever created. Archer drops you into the world of ISIS and invites you to revel in their ineptitude and hijinks. The show is masterfully written and the characters lovingly crafted.
Do yourself a favour and invite all your fun-lovingly friends over, sit yourselves down in-front of the TV and enjoy 7 seasons of amazing TV.
Archer is a cartoon spy drama that will have you asking yourself why you weren't watching it earlier. Jon H. Benjamin is hysterical as Sterling Archer, alcoholic super spy. An FX success, watch a few episodes and I guarantee you'll be laughing.
How can you review gold? A James Bond meets The Office with Stephen Colbert comedic sarcasm and arrogance. Archer is a genius show in every way imaginable. The acting, the writing, the comedy, the whit, the intelligent pop culture and political references, not to mention the one-liners! "Call Kenny Loggins, you're in the danger zone". BEST!
HILARIOUS! It's like you're hanging with your friends and you have all kinds of inside jokes that other people don't get. Watching Archer puts you in an elite club or kickass, sarcastic, and comical people. It may be animated, but its like cartoons for (the mostly) grown-ups. It can be subtle or it can be in your face. The little references make it super entertaining. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
A hilariously written show about dysfunctional spies and their massive screw ups while saving the world, Archer effectively entertains viewers with its outrageous characters and bold story lines. Arrested Development fans will be glad to see the same vibe and similar jokes.
Where to begin. This show is made for all audiences. It has violence, witty humour, alcohol, drugs, woman, spies, more violence, and a guy who has ZERO concern for his safety. The main character, Archer Sterling, is "the worlds greatest" spy and tells absolutely everyone. Mid gun fight, He will throw a fit about and argue about something trivial, simultaneously pissing off both sides.
At the end of practically every episodes, you found it so funny and satisfying that you didn't realize just how much nothing actually got done.
