'Bones': Place your bets on who dies in 'The Hole in the Heart'

"Bones" has a daunting number of pins in the air as it juggles the last two episodes of Season 6. A recurring -- or possibly regular -- cast member dies in the penultimate episode, prompting a possible hook-up between Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel). Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) are about to deliver their (potentially blind) baby. And the start-date for Season 7 is uncertain given Deschanel's real life pregnancy. All of this is fodder for endless speculation and dissection over the coming weeks, but what we'd really like to figure out right now is... who's going to die this Thursday? Based on promos and the episode's cast, we're most concerned for the fates of Sweets (John Francis Daley) or the not-so-pivotal Mr. Nigel-Murray (Ryan Cartwright). Each seem to stand an equal chance of being on the other end of sniper Jacob Broadsky's (Arnold Vosloo) rifle -- though based on... //

'Bones' Season Finale Photos: 'The Change in the Game'

When a mangled body is found in a bowling alley pin-setter (ow!), Booth has to go undercover in a bowling league to help solve the case. Meanwhile, Angela has her baby. Oh, and there's that little issue of the Brennan-Booth relationship to deal with... "The Change in the Game" will air on May 19. //

Could 'The Finder' Fit into the 'Bones' Pregnancy Break?

There's been a lot of speculation about what exactly will happen at the beginning of Bones ' seventh season. While the show has been officially renewed, star Emily Deschanel's pregnancy has made the Bones premiere date something of a question. It's now looking like one of the possible answers is to air The Finder spinoff until Bones can return. //

'Bones' could share Season 7 with 'Finder' spin-off while Emily Deschanel is away

Some bittersweet news for "Bones" fans: the proposed "Finder" spin-off could be heading to FOX's fall schedule... while "Bones" star Emily Deschanel's pregnancy sidelines her own series.Deadline reports that FOX is exploring ways to keep "Bones" going during Deschanel's maternity leave, and one of the suggestions is plugging in "Finder" storylines for as many as 6 to 7 episodes. The proposal would boost the potential series' prospects of a full series order to the network's nearly-full schedule down the line and alleviate pressure to keep "Bones" on the air without its lead actress. "The Finder," a backdoor pilot introduced during an April episode of "Bones," stars Geoff Stults as a neurotic Walter Sherman who has an uncanny ability to find anything. Deadline reports that Stults and sidekick Michael Clarke Duncan are both in contention for the pseudo pick-up, though there's no mention of other pilot co-star Saffron Burrows. We here at Zap2it really liked "The Finder."... //

Bones Promo: "The Hole in the Heart"

Bones is back, baby. After a few lackluster episodes, last night's "The Sign in the Silence" reminded us why we love the Jeffersonian team and their quirky, funny, thought-provoking ways. Next week, in the third installment of the sniper arc, Jacob Broadsky (Arnold Vosloo) returns and takes out another innocent victim with a bullet that was meant for Booth, who becomes more determined to catch Broadsky once and for all. The first two episodes featuring Broadsky were both very solid, so here's hoping the trend continues as we head into May 19's game-changing season finale. Here's Fox's promo for "The Hole in the Heart" ... //

'Bones': The 'silence' before the storm

If you watched the preview of next week's "Bones," chances are you aren't really in the mood to rehash "The Signs in the Silence," but maybe focusing on this for a while will help us not think about the looming death-sex-pocalypse. ... still not working? Well let's recap anyway. Our all-time favorite gal Caroline Julian (Patricia Belcher) interrupts Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) discussing Brennan's maternal prospects (!) with an interesting case. A deaf and mute girl is a witness/suspect to a murder and the only way to figure out if she committed it or not is by looking at x-rays of her bones. Well, here's a twist we haven't seen before -- and an excuse to bring up some long-simmering Brennan issues. For the squints: The young girl, Amy, arrives covered in blood and dirt, fighting off attempts at x-rays or any examination, but her inability to communicate and clear history... //
