Great show with a HUGE dose of reality!
I sat my 15 year old son down to watch this show with me. His generation has no perception of what life without social media or internet is like. Yet strangely, they don't spend much time thinking about the impact their online life has, on and off servers that is. And vice versa, what impact their actions online have on their lives. You can preach as a parent but coming from a different source, such as this great documentary, disables their selective hearing and makes them think a little! I recommend this to anyone who wants a look inside the world behind the electronic curtain and to parents of teenagers, slightly awkward scenes and all!

Dark Net displays the clash of humanity and social dependence on technology. It demonstrates the uses and downfalls of technology when it comes to privacy, intimacy and interaction but also the marvels and expansion of technology. Dark Net depicts the world of the web, how everything and anything can be manipulated, found, created and controlled. "The same tools that are used to create can be used to control" . I respect Showtime for coming out with this show'; great idea, good execution and a beautiful delivery.
