'Game of Thrones' Season 2 deleted scenes: The Hound confronts Sansa, Irri's death and more

Four fantastic deleted scenes from Season 2 of "Game of Thrones" have been released that add some context to the motivations of characters going into Season 3. From murder to illicit love and everything in between, these scenes definitely do not show off the characters' best sides. Up first, fans get to see the scene where it is first revealed that Doreah has turned on Daenerys. Irri goes up to check on her Khaleesi, but finds the dragons missing instead. Doreah strangles her to death while explaining that she once heard that "the greatest pleasure comes with a silk cord around the neck." Sexy or terrifying? You decide. Then there's Loras, continuing to mourn the loss of the late Renly Baratheon. His sister Margaery lectures him about his grief and says she needs him now. Whether or not he stands by her in Season 3 is yet to be seen, but our money's on him... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/02/game-of-thrones-season-2-deleted-scenes-the-hound-confronts-sansa-irris-death-and-more.html

'Game of Thrones' Season 3 trailer: Chaos is coming to Westeros

Grammys, shmammys: What we're more excited about is the new "Game of Thrones" trailer released by HBO. Though it doesn't include any new footage (that's what the featurettes are for), it does give us a good sense of the tone of Season 3. "Chaos isn't a pit. Chaos is a ladder," Littlefinger says as various "Game of Thrones" main characters are shown. "Many who try to climb it fail, never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some, given a chance to climb, they cling to the realm, or the gods, or love. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is." So who will try to climb, and who will turn to the realm, the gods, or love? We'll have to wait to find out when "Game of Thrones" returns to HBO on March 31.... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/02/game-of-thrones-season-3-trailer-chaos-is-coming-to-westeros.html

'Game of Thrones' casts a bear and shoots in Los Angeles for major Season 3 scene

Season 3 of "Game of Thrones" debuts in only two short months, but showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have only just cast its latest addition. As confirmed by author George R.R. Martin, the show has cast a live bear for a major scene in the upcoming season. In addition to the animal, named Bart the Bear after the previous Bart the Bear who filmed in "Game of Thrones," Benioff tells Entertainment Weekly that some of the HBO series' actors are being brought to Los Angeles to shoot for the first time. That adds the United States to the long list of countries that "Game of Thrones" films in, which includes Northern Ireland, Croatia, Iceland and Morocco. "For the first time, we're flying in actors to L.A.," Benioff says. "So it ends up being five countries and three units this year. It's just exploded." Fans of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series should... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/01/game-of-thrones-casts-a-bear-and-shoots-in-los-angeles-for-major-season-3-scene.html
