Gilmore Girls is an hour-long American television drama/comedy that aired for 7 seasons first on the WB and then on the CW. Re-runs in the US are currently airing on ABC Family. Amy Sherman-Palladino created the show and served as its executive producer with husband Daniel Palladino until the end of the sixth season (David S. Rosenthal took over for the final season). The show follows single mother Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her daughter Lorelai Leigh "Rory" Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut, roughly thirty minutes from Hartford. The series explores family, friendship, generational divides, and American class issues. It is set in a close-knit small town with many quirky characters.
Got partway, don't plan to finish for some reason. Either the quality dropped (The Simpsons), or I really wanted to love them but they just didn't click for me (Buffy), or what I saw was interesting, but not enough to invest time in the whole thing (The Borgias).
