Review of Gravity Falls

30 minutes

The show concerns the adventures of twin brother and sister Dipper and Mabel Pines, whose summer plans are ruined when their parents ship them off to their Great Uncle Stan in Gravity Falls, Oregon. Uncle Stan lives in and runs The Mystery Shack, a tourist trap which overcharges unlucky visitors for a glimpse at the world's most bizarre museum, but little do Dipper and Mabel know that there really is something very strange going on and they must rely on one another to find their way in this unfamiliar town.

I loved this show, I didn't know much about it and figured I'd find it annoying, but a close friend recommended it to me and, well, I trust her. I was super super surprised and really happy to find that the show was original and creative and the plot was interesting and the characters were people I could care about. Dipper and Mabel's relationship made me cry a couple of times and I loved how they supported each other and their own interests, while still being flawed and occasionally selfish. And the other characters were great as well. I'm sad that the show's coming to an end but I look forward to the finale and conclusion to this awesome story.
