House: The New Dean of Medicine Speaks!

There's a new Dean of Medicine at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. And on Monday's episode of House , that new dean was Dr. Gregory House's ticket out of prison. After House ( Hugh Laurie ) drove his car through her house, Cuddy ( Lisa Edelstein ) left her post at the hospital. And taking her place is none other than Dr. Eric Foreman ( Omar Epps )! Foreman showed up at the prison with a judge's order to release House on conditional parole under Foreman's supervision. The catch: House must return to the hospital to help his fellow doctors save an organ donor's lungs so that a transplant patient can receive them. And as you might expect, not everyone at Princeton-Plainsboro is happy to see House. So was House worth the risk? And will he actually respect Foreman's new authority? We chatted with Epps about all that and more. Plus: What does Foreman see in...  //

'House' Star Charlyne Yi Pisses Off Hugh Laurie By Revealing His Nickname

'House' might have been in prison for last week's premiere, but tonight he'll be busting out to help out the gang back at Princeton Plainsboro with a very interesting case. We've already met Odette Annable's new character. Dr. Jessica Adams (read AOL TV's exclusive interview here ), but she isn't the only fresh face around: Charlyne Yi makes her 'House' debut tonight, and her Dr. Chi Park is not your typical TV doc. I caught up with Yi -- who's best known for a bit part in 'Knocked Up,' her indie screenwriting debut 'Paper Heart' and some comedic storytelling and song-singing on late night TV shows -- to hear more about her character, her adjustment to life on series television and which star she honestly thought hated her on her first day at 'House.' She also gave away a possible on-set nickname for star Hugh Laurie, who's the Martin to her Lewis ... or maybe vice versa. //

Top Moments: Conan's Triumphant Reunion and a Pleasurable Horror Story

Our top moments of the week: 12. Tastiest Defense: How do you know when your airline passenger is done? You stick a fork in him, naturally. Or at least, that's what Maggie does on Pan Am when a male first-class flyer (and first-class sleazebag) tries to feel her up and pull into the bathroom. It's about 50 years later, but we'd still stab someone with a fork if they pulled that crap with us. 11. The Edge of Sanity Award: Susan deals with her immense guilt over helping to hide Carlos' murder on Desperate Housewives the only way she knows how... //

A Little Lady in the Big House

When it briefly transformed into One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest two years ago, Hugh Laurie had an equally powerful actor, Andre Braugher, to play off as his nuthouse shrink. Now Fox's medical drama is taking a not-so-wonderful journey to the land of Oz — the HBO prison drama, that is — and all he's got is bland Odette Annable as a jailhouse doc House will no doubt hire at Princeton-Plainsboro once he gets sprung. //

TV ratings: 'Terra Nova' holds steady Monday, 'Two and a Half Men' dips, 'House' premiere OK

Fast National ratings for Monday, Oct. 3, 2011Ratings for "Two and a Half Men" declined a little more on Monday, but it was still the night's most-watched show. "House's" season premiere was down a bit from last season but up over its performance last spring, and "Terra Nova" held very steady in its second week on FOX.Elsewhere, "The Sing-Off" perked up a little for NBC, although that improvement didn't translate to "The Playboy Club," and The CW's "Gossip Girl" and "Hart of Dixie" were fairly even with last week.ABC led the night in total viewers, drawing 14.9 million people and a 9.7 rating/15 share in households. CBS (12.4 million, 7.6/11) took second, finishing comfortably ahead of FOX (9 million, 5.4/8). NBC averaged 4.4 million viewers and a 2.7/4 to finish fourth, while The CW came in at 1.6 million viewers and a 1.1/2.Paced by "Two and a Half Men," CBS finished first among adults 18-49... //

'House' Star Odette Annable Talks New Doctor Hazing On Set & Pulling Double Duty With 'Breaking In'

'House' is mixing things up again for its eighth season (premieres Mon., Oct. 3, 9PM ET on Fox), bringing in two new female doctors to fill the void where Lisa Edelstein 's Cuddy and Olivia Wilde 's Thirteen used to be. Yes, we'll get a bit more Thirteen, just not much ... but once you meet Fox's other new girls, you might not mind. Comedienne Charlyne Yi's Dr. Chi Park, who shares a bit of Thirteen's tightly wound nature, is introduced in the second episode, and Odette Annable 's whip-smart Dr. Jessica Adams proves she's not afraid to challenge House in the season premiere. I caught up with Annable to talk about Adams, her potential romantic interests at Princeton-Plainsboro and her efforts to be House's equal. Annable also talked about being hazed on set, pulling double duty on 'Breaking In' (and wanting a crossover episode between the two shows) and whether or not she'd want her real-life husband, 'Brothers & Sisters' alum Dave Annable , to come guest star. //

'House' creator David Shore discusses House in prison and the series' (possible) end

"House" has established a trend over the past couple of starting the season with its lead character not in his usual environment -- one that will continue when Season 8 premieres Monday (Oct. 3).In Season 6, House (Hugh Laurie) began the year in a mental institution. Last season he spent the premiere holed up in his apartment with Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein). On Monday, we'll find House in the big house, a consequence of his having run a car into Cuddy's living room in last season's finale. Series creator David Shore says the writers haven't made a conscious decision to begin the past few seasons away from Princeton Plainsboro Hospital. The events of the preceding season finales just happened to dictate that."There's a natural tendency to end a season big, and if you're going to be true to that and follow up on that in an honest way, you're going to wind up starting the next... //
