Tess is the best. Jody is a super annoying teenager but I do love her in later seasons. Claire shouldn't have died. Stevie is great. Kate is even better. Wanted everyone to come back for the finale but it turned out fine anyway.

Let me start by saying that I'm a straight, married, middle-aged American man, and this show is one of my guilty pleasures. I put this show in the top five ever for me. As another reviewer said, it's a great 'comfort' show, one I watch over and over. Season's 1-3 are GREAT, 4-5 are very good, 6 starts to really go downhill, and 7-8 get progressively pretty bad. That being said, I will continue to watch this show, for the foreseeable future, when I want to relax and chill out. It has good characters (the earlier in the show the better), interesting story lines (I've always been fascinated with Australia), a good mix of action and drama, and just enough subdued sexiness to keep me coming back for more. I put this show far above most of the crappy junk that comes out Hollywood, but, hey, maybe it's just me.
