Once Upon a Time Episode 8 Photos: The Race for Sheriff Heats Up

Once Upon a Time may be on hiatus, but news about the January return is pouring in.  Earlier today we posted a mild spoiler article about the January 8 episode of the show , titled "Desperate Souls".  Now ABC has released photos for the episode which - pun not intended - present us with a clearer picture of what will be happening in episode 8. Once Upon a Time fans watched Sheriff Graham die in the midseason finale earlier this month.  In fact, he was killed by Regina (albeit in a secretive manner) because he was remembering his fairytale past as the Huntsman and also because he rejected her and chose Emma instead.  Feeling slighted and concerned about the state of her curse, Regina crushed the heart she had taken from the Huntsman after he failed to kill Snow White, thus killing Graham in Storybrooke. Once Upon a Time Spoilers: Rumpelstiltskin's Backstory & the Fallout From Graham's Death

Once Upon a Time gave us a shocking closing scene in its midseason finale.  After seeing how the Evil Queen hired the Huntsman to kill Snow White after her father's death, we learned that he was unable to go through with it.  And guess who was the Huntsman?  None other than Sheriff Graham in Storybrooke.  Coincidentally, Graham was the first Storybrooke resident to truly remember his fairytale past.  Throughout the episode he kept remembering flashes of his previous life, but he finally remembered everything when Emma kissed him. Regina, obviously, was displeased by this turn of events.  Not only was Graham remembering his true past a threat to her curse, but she was also jealous that he had turned away from her in favor of Emma.  We saw that a piece of the fairytale world beyond Snow White's coffin was buried within Storybrooke: the Evil Queen's vault.  One of the boxes in the vault contained the Huntsman's heart and she crushed it, thus killing Graham in Storybrooke.  Fortunately, the Huntsman's tale isn't finished and we may see him popping up again in the fairytale world.  For a more detailed recap of the last episode, read our review . Once Upon a Time Episode 8 Promo: New Episodes Return in January!

The midseason finale of Once Upon a Time aired this week and one character lost his life.  In the fairytale world, we learned that the Queen had killed her husband - Snow White's father - and decided to hire a Huntsman to kill Snow White herself.  Why?  While we don't know the exact nature of their rivalry, the Queen hinted that she confessed a secret to Snow and she failed to keep it quiet. While the Huntsman, who had been abandoned by his parents and raised by wolves, agreed to kill Snow, she quickly caught on to the plan and ran away.  When he later found her, she showed him a letter she had written for the Queen, forgiving her for having her killed.  This prompted the Huntsman to let her go.  But when he later brought a fake heart to the Queen and tried to trick her, she ripped out his heart, leaving him in her control forever. Once Upon a Time Bosses on How Lost Influenced Their Fairytale World

From Lost to Once Upon a Time , executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis sure know how to create an entangled mystery that will keep audiences scratching their heads.  The duo began the groundwork for Once eight years ago, but it took working on Lost to really hone their idea. "We were really young and we didn't understand how to execute the idea we had. We called it our eight-year writer's block," Kitsis says with a laugh. The result? A series in which...  //www.tvguide.com/News/Once-Upon-Time-Horowitz-Kitsis-1040425.aspx?rss=breakingnews
