While on the way to Nimbasa City, Ash and friends are reunited with Bianca. While eating lunch they encounter an Emolga. Both Iris and Bianca want to catch it, but the Emolga has a mischievous personality and uses its cute appearance to trick people into getting what it wants. While Iris and Bianca compete to capture the mischievous pokémon, it leads them on a wild goose chase around the nearby woods and ends up trapping Iris, Axew, and itself in a cave surrounded by territorial Swoobat.
