Waterfront, which ran from 1954-56, featured Carl Herrick (played by Preston Foster) his family, and life aboard the tugboat "Cheryl Ann". Cap'n John piloted the tug around San Pedro Harbor, and was constantly running into smugglers, convicts and ne'er-do-wells of all types.
