Since launching her fashion line in 1978, designer Betsey Johnson has made a name for herself with eclectic designs. But since her company declared bankruptcy, she has been looking to reinvent herself. In order to do that, she needs her daughter and muse by her side. Daughter Lulu has helped expand Johnson's fashion empire in the past. The problem is Lulu wants to step out of her mother's shadow and create her own line, which further stresses the mother-daughter relationship, as the two women evolve both personally and professionally.
