‘Young & Hungry’ recap: Too much scheming, not enough truth

In this week’s episode of  Young & Hungry , we learned about the limits of how far a scheme can go. How many schemes on top of schemes on top of lies and ruses and tricks can be stacked on top of each other before everyone involved forgets what they were scheming about in the first place? 'Young & Hungry' recap: Gabi deals with the loss of a dear friend

Getting your first car is one the most wonderful, yet awful, rites of passages in America. If you’re truly lucky, the car is absolutely terrible, constantly breaks down in the school parking lot, and may or may not be held together with duct tape.  Because despite what you say at 16, getting a nice car at that age never provides for awesome, hilarious stories down the road.  That’s why getting rid of your first car can often be fairly traumatizing. ‘Young & Hungry’ recap: Gabi’s lies catch up to her

Last week’s  Young & Hungry  episode introduced us to Cooper (played by Jesse McCartney), a new love interest for Gabi. In this week’s continuation of that storyline, we see Gabi and Cooper can’t keep their hands off of each other, but also can’t do a good job of hiding that fact from Josh, who has forbidden them from seeing each other while both are employed by him. 'Young & Hungry' recap: Hey there, Jesse McCartney

This week’s episode of  Young & Hungry  started with a punch. Not just any punch. A horrible, terrible punch, which was horrible because it was thrown at the beautiful face of Jesse McCartney. Yes, the former teen heartthrob has reemerged from the posters of early millennial girls’ bedrooms to the screens of ABC Family. He guest-starred this week as computer genius Cooper Finley, who did such a good job of hacking into Josh’s website that Josh just has to hire him for his own company. Because that is apparently how the world works nowadays. Read More... //community.ew.com/2014/07/31/young-hungry-recap-hey-there-jesse-mccartney/

'Young & Hungry' recap: Can Gabi and Josh define their relationship?

We’re five episodes into  Young & Hungry , which puts us halfway through the first season. Five episodes and the same question that we had in the first episode still lingers: What the heck is even going on with Gabi and Josh? This week’s episode didn’t help to clear up this question at all. In fact, it made it much, much more complicated. Read More... //community.ew.com/2014/07/24/young-hungry-recap-young-and-younger/

'Young & Hungry' recap: Oh, so very awkward

At the end of this week’s episode of  Young & Hungry , Gabi exclaims that her conversation with her boss, Josh, is “so awkward.” That is truly an understatement. The whole episode was so very, very awkward, which provided for lots of comedy. So how did we get here? It all started when Gabi proclaimed her excitement for needing to buy new bras because she went up a cup size. Now, any girl knows that that is basically impossible once you’re past the age of about 16, so despite being initially very exciting, bigger boobs had to mean that something was very off.  After doing a few quick calculations in her head, Gabi was on the phone begging her roommate, Sofia, to bring her a pregnancy test. Ignoring the fact that Gabi slept with Josh probably less than a month ago, and there’s no way her boobs would already be getting bigger, it’s understandable that she would be freaking out about any little hint that she might be pregnant. Bigger boobs would probably be enough to send her over the edge. Read More... //community.ew.com/2014/07/17/young-hungry-recap-oh-so-very-awkward/

'Young & Hungry' recap: Whatever it takes

The third episode of  Young & Hungry  saw Gabi with a new love interest—one very different from her boss, Josh. While we know that Josh is extremely successful and wealthy, and has basically accomplished everything he has put his mind to, there is still one thing he hasn’t figured how to get—no, not Gabi’s heart (yet, anyway). The one thing Josh wants more than anything in this world is a spot on the coveted “30 Under 30″ list in  San Francisco Monthly  magazine.  And with his 30th birthday quickly approaching, this is his last chance to woo the magazine’s editor, Logan Rawlings. Logan was played by the show’s executive producer and former Disney Channel star Ashley Tisdale, who sported some strange arm tattoos that would make Harry Styles question her art decisions. 'Young & Hungry' recap: Stolen rings and stolen hearts

The second episode of  Young & Hungry  saw Gabi going to her first official day on the job as Josh’s personal chef.  They mention this being Gabi’s first day, even though the pilot episode clearly showed her working on two separate days: the night of the infamous dinner, and a separate morning a few days later once Josh and his fiancée, Caroline, rekindled their relationship. But apparently those were just trial-run days and this morning was her first  actual  day of work. A minor plot hole. 'Young & Hungry' series premiere react: Leaves you hungry for more

It seems that these days, all of the former cast members of  Hannah Montana  are trying their best to break away from their Disney Channel image of yesteryear. We’ve all seen Miley Cyrus attempt to twerk the Mouse away. Now her former super-sidekick, Emily Osment, better known to Hannah Montana  fans as Lilly, is joining the “ditch Disney” train with her new show,  Young & Hungry , which premiered Wednesday night on ABC Family.
