Enjoyed it immensely. Really liked the twists, the new ideas, there were actually several good, strong female characters, and JRM was pretty good as Dracula. Was so disappointed that it was cancelled :(
Initially really enjoyed this, the first season was excellent and I must admit, I partly watched because I adore Tom Cavanagh. However I got really tired about halfway through season two. The whole thing got a bit tedious and, frankly, I resented the implication that in order to actually get the whole of some storylines that I would have to catch up with four seasons of Arrow. Sorry, but no.
About two seasons too long and the weird romance between Jane and Lisbon in the last two seasons felt forced and, honestly, a little creepy considering the brother-sister vibe I always got from them, and yet... and yet, it's a great series. Simon Baker is very watchable and the way he plays Patrick Jane is both brilliant and tragic. Definitely watch the first five seasons, the last two... meh
Fun, OTT, un-PC, I loved it. Quirky weird, shame it was cancelled.
A fun, complicated, hilarious and quirky ride, what a flipping cliffhanger to end it on, too!! Ugh!
Great period drama, just loved it! Gutted that it's not going to be renewed when it finally looked like Jean was going to get her man :sigh: Craig McLachlan was fantastic in the role, bringing just the right amount of levity to the seriousness, and occasionally, outright belly-laughs. The bit where the police ask him to test a drug to find out what it is, and he does so by swallowing it was one of my favourite hilarious scenes. Well worth a binge watch if you want something relatively gentle, oddly sweet and innocent, yet still gritty and occasionally a little dark.
A little silly in places, but mostly a thoroughly enjoyable and quirky retelling of Alice in Wonderland. My only quibble was that the actress playing Alice wasn't great, but that's very nitpicky, and the Mad Hatter made up for it extremely well.
Lovely, clever rework of a classic. Enjoyed every minute... and no singing, huzzah!
One of my favourite sci-fi shows of all time, and the first (but by no means last) time FOX broke my heart by cancelling an absolutely fantastic show. Such a great premise, wonderful characters with fantastic chemistry and great storylines, I was thoroughly gutted when it wasn't renewed.
My OH says it hasn't aged well, but I think he just doesn't appreciate its awesomeness. Love every episode and as soon as it (FINALLY) became available on DVD I rushed to buy it. Also the first time I ever discovered fanfiction, heh.
A very slightly shaky start and a lore that changed a little as the show evolved. However, it quickly became a must-watch with great storylines and absolutely BAMF characters. The final two episodes had me sobbing like a baby, but it had a really satisfying conclusion. Grimm will be much missed by me.
