The show has potential as long as it stays out of its way...
J K Simmons, a parallel dimension, Olivia Williams, need I say more...
Surrounded by Harry Lloyd, Sara Serraiocco, Ulrich Thomsen, Mido Hamada, Bernhard Forcher, Jamie Bamber, Karim Saleh, Nazanin Boniadi and Nicholas Pinnock, complete this ensemble.
This dramatic sci-fi thriller kept me on the edge of my seat.
Another smart production, the possibilities are limitless..
Season 1 supplied the back story for each character and how they intersected.
In season 2 the tentacles of each character has the opportunity to grow exponentially.
With a ruthless and very capable villain, this show will keep me coming back for more.
Season 2: Kate Micucci, Jane Adams, Zazie Beetz, Michael Chernus, Kiersey Clemons, Evan Jonigkeit, Elizabeth Reaser, Jacqueline Toboni, Dave Franco, Aya Cash, Marc Maron, Aubrey Plaza, Kate Berlant, Joe Lo Truglio, Michaela Watkins, Judy Greer, and Danielle Macdonald.
Season 1: Dave Franco, Elizabeth Reaser, Emily Ratajkowski, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Malin Akerman, Orlando Bloom, Michael Chernus, Marc Maron, Jake Johnson, Aya Cash, Jane Adams, Hannibal Buress, Kiersey Clemons and Jacqueline Toboni.
Need I Say More...
It is obvious that Maya embraces song and dance with a passion..
Apparently she doesn't realize that she has not reached a level of excellence that her mother, the late great Minnie Riperton, had achieved.
Minnie had the ability to mesmerize/hypnotize her audience, as she adorned their ears, with the guilty pleasure of her vocal range.
Black poetry, great music with a smattering of artwork...
These 30 minute snippets entertain in a Spike Lee fashion.
The story is relatively the same as the original, this version is loftier and softer.
With the same director at the helm, the same message is related, and the talent he has assembled, do entertain.
Without the knowledge of the original film, one may feel that this piece is disjointed.
However it does reflect the human condition, in many of our communities.
The only thing missing is the impact the black and white film had on the original.
Great Potential, Wasted!!!
An extremely predictable western with an endless amount of flashbacks.
The story, which contained wonderful performances by the the gathered ensemble, waned throughout.
Tremendous vistas were realized through the use of some excellent cinematography.
The story teller was all over the place, the dichotomy between the protagonist and the antagonist are extremely blurred.
There were things to like by this offering, story telling wasn't one of them, so much wasted potential.
Cute premise, it will never last!!!
This is not in the same vane as The Twilight Zone or Black Mirror!
After the first episode, which was the best IMHO, I kept waiting for the same or better, unfortunately, that never happened.
A few of the stories had potential that was wasted on either poor acting or the terrible/bland way the stories ended .
This doesn't come close to other shows produced by the Duplass Brothers ( Animals, Tangerine).
Maybe the half hour format made the storytelling difficult.
A lot of plot twist and pitfalls, right from the start!!!
The veteran actors and newcomers assembled for this series should be able to bring this show success.
Featuring Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer), Erika Christensen (Parenthood), Emily Kinney (The Walking Dead), and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Suicide Squad).
As long as the writers bring more clarity to the various plot lines, this show may resonate with most lovers of suspense.
