How I Met Your Mother

This may be the best sitcom I have ever seen. It has all of the fun of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and has enough episodes for twelve binge sessions. The lovable yet annoyingly optimistic Ted is the definition of a hopeless romantic. With the help and companionship of Lily ands Marshal (OTP), Robin (commitment-phobic Canadian), and Barney (lovable man-slut), the seemingly-endless retelling of Ted's "How I Met Your Mother" story has a fan-approved ending, although his poor kids literally aged years over the course of the show, and must have endured countless story sessions with their lovable dad.

Although the show is excessively explicit, it has a complex storyline that will not disappoint.

Although the show can sometimes be demeaning, it features quirky characters that leave audiences coming back for more nerdy fun.

Although the character development is not as good as LoK's predecessor, (Avatar: the Last airbender), the quirky characters are still prominent and a fan-favorite. The artwork, which was already superb, has improved in this ATLA sequel. Season finales may not be at their best, the first seeming rushed, but the series finale will not disappoint.

This show has been running for 60 years, thanks to the genius element of the main character being able to regenerate to cheat death, a process that transitions them from one actor to the next, to create a show that can go on indefinitely. The show could be canceled and picked up again 100 years later and it would totally work! There's something for everyone in this show, and if you don't like a current era, actor, showrunner, etc, you can always just return when the next one steps in. You will literally never run out of content, with the expanded universe (comics, books, etc) and decades of episodes.

A delightfully quirky show featuring an enigmatic nonbinary alien who likes to bring along a companion or two from Earth to take them on adventures throughout time and space! The 12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi, pictured) is older and more serious than the more recent regenerations, bringing back an aspect of classic Doctor Who that many fans have missed. The Thirteenth Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) was a refreshing take as well, casting the first woman in the role, and bringing in more fans that see themselves represented in the show. It's full of many brilliant surprises!

I absolutely love this show. I started with the 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston, 2005) and went back to watch classic Who after catching up. I love the current era. Jodie's amazing! I'm excited for Ncuti and the future as well :)

Mixed feelings but overall love it so far. Spoiler-free notes for the first few episodes:

Ep 1: gorgeous, felt like I was in the video game, obviously some gross stuff but absolutely stunning, excited for more!
Ep 2: skip the last 5 minutes or so - at all costs. Cannot unsee. In the worst way. I’ll be billing them for my therapy.
Ep 3: you will feel like your heart was ripped from your chest but in the most beautiful way. 10/10 recommend.

Docked a star because what the heck was that e2 ending? So unwarranted and violating.
