I haven't read the book, but the show is interesting and I'm definitely looking forward to the finale (and reading the book!) It's a good teen whodunit mystery thriller type show.
If you're someone who could be triggered by kidnapping-related things, this may not be for you. There's a website where you can check for triggers which may be beneficial. (https://www.doesthedogdie.com/)
It wasn't what I was expecting at all-- in a good way!
Ally McBeal meets Marvel in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Fun and feisty Tatiana Maslany taking on the patriarchy with a green buff.
Pretty good, interesting premise, and great chemistry with the actors.
This show is very gorey but otherwise I love it! 🌈 💕
I'm surprised at all these negative comments - everyone in my community loves this show! Charlie is brilliant and Avalance is ENDGAME. Took half a star off because there's one villain that's going to haunt my dreams, and they're not even a villain really? Idk. Didn't like that bit. But the show's got a diverse cast, superhero stuff, dark themes, comedic relief, and TIME TRAVEL. I love me some space gays :)
This show really stands well to the test of time! I'm rewatching a decade later and it's still relevant, entertaining, and engaging. I'd love to see this show come back-- the issues it dealt with still exist-- it's still relevant. I still enjoy the original, but for a new generation, reboots are usually bigger hits. Me? I'll stick to the original, but would definitely be here for a reboot as well!
Unapologetically queer right from the start. Loving it! Great cast! It's a lot like 9-1-1, same deal but set in Texas instead of California, and it's even gayer with canonically LGBT+ folks right from the start. Less likely to fall into harmful tropes and seem to be handling things well so far, i'm proper impressed!
This show is exciting to watch and almost always brings me to tears. Took a bit to really get into it, and I certainly thought a particular character was LGBT+ from the start (yet to be confirmed / queerbaiting?) Still. What a ride.
The show began with promise, and, even though some complained Ryder (teenage boy) had no personality, he developed well as the show went on. Mel is a politician, and Jo is a "stay at home" sort of character, so there's plenty of gender role exploration and politics. Interesting study.
