Two episodes in... its a story of two ordinary people that move to a rural area after being city folks and find themselves in extraordinary circumstances. Those circumstances being a dead body and a drug business. Things quickly get out of hand. The first episode definitely had some funny parts, but the second was just so so. The husband is an annoying rule follower, but the wife is the character I like the most. The show should get better as the fairly small number of episodes is wrapped up with a pretty (bloody) bow.

Its one of those 'people are horrible' kind of shows and several characters are mean and abusive and downright psychopathic. Lots of animal torture and death as well.

The last two episodes were held back from airing due to violence and likely the pseudo religious content. They aired about a month late in May. They definitely are violent, but not much more than other episodes. I think the censors have a double standard and a violent women was flagged as excessive when a violent man doing the same thing would have been business as usual.

Spoiler on the spoilers: All the bad people die.

*** SPOILERS ****

Errand boy: There's been 3 attacks, sir!!!
Dumb musular agent out jogging: Its Tal, I know it.

Know you don't. No one would know anything and a real agent wouldn't jump to a "Holy Guacamole, Batman" assumption. I'll give it another episode, maybe it gets better.

I liked it from the start, its very 'left of center' weird... The Addams Family meets The Royal Tenenbaums meets Pulp Fiction.

Although some of the people have superpowers, two of the bunch really don't... one is just a weird guy that thinks he is Batman with knives, and the other apparantly didn't have anything special about him until he was injected with Chimp serum. They never explain the origin of the powers, or explore the many many more people in the world that were supposedly born on the same day who also have powers.

The show holds up fairly well over the course of season 1, I knocked it down to 3.5 stars due to lots of boring dialog and for being somewhat predictable. It was obvious that the Vanya character had powers and they were being repressed by the pills. Its an old trick from mystery novels, you ignore a character and in the end we find out they were the one who did it.

I'll watch season 2 and I suspect there will be a season 3 as well since there is a third graphic novel coming out soon. It does have a lot of gratuitous vilolence, and is no doubt teaching the youth to solve problems by killing people. People are constantly killed with no regard whatsoever.

I dislike Ellen Page taking a job from a hetero-sexual actress. You can't complain about straight people playing homosexuals and then allow a homosexual to play a straight person. What if it was a white person playing a black person? Just watch the news to see how well that works out. I know its gone the other way for a very long time with heteros playing homos on screen, but that doesn't make it right to go the other way. It isn't helping the homosexual cause to pretend to be straight for a tv role. And Ellen being so vocal about her sexual orentation and bias in hollywood kind of ruins the show a little when she doesn't play a homosexual. I don't want to know I'm watching Ellen Page, I want to be watching the character, but her real life persona is larger than her acting ability. She has never been more than a B level actor. I do like seeing her act, but that barely makes up for what I call The 'Look At Me, Look At Me' Effect.

Cheessy low budget sci-fi. They got the title of the show right, it gets weird, but only in a "why am I watching this" kind of way. All the money was spent on a few well known actors, like Levar Burton, who apperas on screen for 1 to 2 seconds at a time several times in the first episode. Maybe they were paying him by the amount of screen time. Jordan Peele is one of the creators, but without Key, Peele just is not funny.

Its a 'reclaimed wood' show. Which is so hot right now that almost every renovation show uses reclaimed wood to some degree. But this is the only show I am aware of that focuses on the people that actually go out and find the wood and prepare it to be reused.

They pull down old barns and chicken buildings and then clean up and mill the wood to be used in various projects.

The first couple episodes were a little rough as these are not TV people, the crew from the lumber yard are all a little bit odd but not necessarily in a bad way. The main guy, Bug, is a character, and could see his antics and catchphrases becoming tiresome. But its a decent show for 8 episodes.

My guess is that this is the direction a lot of netflix shows will take. Lots of volence. Soft porn. And James Bond-like villians.

Its not a bad show per se, it just has low production values and they try to make up for that with breasts and melodramtic violence. I'm sure it will be back for season 2.

It pretends to be a cooking show, but they spend most of the time with the hosts being annoying to the chefs and doing montages of the personal history of each chef... the cooking is on the backburner. Great show if you want to know about the chef's lives.

It's like Survivor, but instead of being voted off the island, another contestant violently killed you in blood splattering gore. This is the show for you If you are an adolescent male into video games and cheap horror shows.

Stopped watching during first episode, it might be a decent psycho manipulator type of show, but I don't like it already. I hate guy characters like that. The show didn't need to be made.

I like tiny house shows, but not this one. They spend a huge amount of time interviewing the people and oddly showing how stupid it is for these people (who have way too much stuff) to build a tiny home. Tiny Home Big Living is a muuuuch better show.
