I watched the first two episodes of this and it was amazing, but then I decided I just need less Nazis in my life and dropped it. Sorry, Philip.

The show is highly female oriented, in the sense that almost all of the main characters are female. This is itself a breath of fresh air compared to the sausagefest that is the typical male dominated show.

There are two main characters, both woman of course. I think you could say that one has taken the wrong road and doesn't know it. She thinks she is doing the right thing, but you don't know for sure until the end of the 4 episode series.

My one critism is that the main cop has an IQ of 520 compared to all the rest of the average police. She is written like she is the smartest person in the world and makes genius decisions in a way that is only rivaled by James Bond. The character is great, but no one is that smart.

Its a food show, its a culture show, its Dave Chang's ego show. They definiitely dive into the culture of the food they are exploring, a lot like Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown. Just watched the second episode called Tacos. I know more about tacos and mexican food now than 99.99% of every other old white guy on the planet.

The first couple of shows were ok, but it soon settled into a formulaic inane joke setup after inane joke setup, and I only use the term joke here because I don't know what else to call it. They are trying to be funny, but in this weird low IQ kind of way that only the characters on screen seem to think is funny. Kind of the way an idiot laughs at their own jokes and everyone else rolls their eyes and walks away.

I liked this show a lot despite its many flaws. But I think you need to be a frustrated writer with a drinking problem to fully appriciate it. And if you happen to be a manslut, that would definitely put this show on your list.

The show very clearly had a 4 season arc that ended with Hank being convicted. That ends the Mia arc, and it probably should have been the end of the show. But nooooo...

There are so many flaws it would be hard to list them. Pretty much any aspect of the writting related to the wife/ex-wife. Her personality and intelligence changes like the time of day. And the anticts of Hanks's agent Runkle become hyperbolic... with each scene being another attempt to be more weird or perverted. It becomes a Howard Stern show at some point.

The best part of the show was probably all the season cameros, like Tim Minchin and Rob Lowe. Crazy characters that only those guys could pull off. Callum Keith Rennie also does a great job as the Rock Star producer and should be way more well known. I think I liked his season the best although his ending was lame.

I had thought the series ended after 6 seasons, and only years later found out there was a season 7. I watched it recently. Its unclear why they even bothered making it. Its horrible.

I would recommend watching the first 4 seasons with ample alcohol at the ready, and only watch season 5 and 6 if you are brave, and definitely do not watch season 7.

Its one of those shows that is sooo bad that it transcends horrible into genius, I just have to watch it all.

In essence, its a police procedural with a mystery to solve each episode. Not unlike Elementary. The unique aspect of this show is the brain science conditions that they work into each episode. You will likely learn something about the brain and perception while each crime is being solved.

It does get formulaic, and of course, no college or FBI agent would ever employ a schizophrenic. But besides those obvious facts ruining the plot, it is entertaining.

Like a lot of shows, there is this persisting false claim that you have to be mentally ill in order to be a genius. The reality is that mentally ill people rarely if ever acheive any kind of greatness in any field, and this doctor would more likely be homeless and talking to himself about working for the FBI than actually be working for the FBI.

Levar Burton is fun to see, so loved him on Star Trek, and Eric and Rachael have great chemistry and are sensational actors.

Feel bad for Lewicki actor, he basically plays a slave that constantly gets chastized for doing his job or berated by the crazy guy because the grapefruit isn't organic.

Only watched a couple episodes so far, its bathroom humor, but it is very funny if you like that sort of thing. The first episode is very similar to an old The Young Ones episode where Vivien gets "pregnant."

A mashup analogy would be if the movie Brazil and the TV series Fringe had a baby. The first 15 minutes of the first episode is perplexing and you don't understand what all this beaurocratic and boring business is about. But it sets up the character arc very nicely and the lead role actor does a great job. There is a fair amount of action and its exciting and mysterious as the story world unfolds little by little. If they want this to go for multiple seasons, I think they better interduce so female energy into the core plot as it suffers from too many old man (that is kind of a plot reveal). I just know the juvinile-minded male dominated sci-fi audience will need some sex appeal if this is going to last.

The episodes keep getting better and better.

*** SPOILERS *** The first episode was fun... why shouldn't women be able to have a man pleasure them whenever they want? I would be so good at that job. The second episode gets into bondage which I'm just not that into and the presentation of the show is getting more obviously cheesy and low brow. Its very Youtube-ish, like a show somehow escaped from Youtube Red and made it onto a real network, but forgot to leave the sophmoric behavior behind. It is what it is.
