When the series was set to debut, I was excited. I've since, though, deleted it from my rotation. I loved the film. But, as much as I wanted to like the series, it was just so-so. The characters were hum-drum from a writing perspective. The plots, weak-tea. The casting was slipshod. The characters seemed like an attempt to mix sci-fi with drama. Didn't work. The premiere was strong, but it felt like they hired a reputable writer to kick it off, then got rid of them and hired millennials to suck up to a demographic. It doesn't absolutely suck, but in the mix of really good production, just not hacking it is a new suck- adjacent equals suck-worthy. Three stars and removal from my rotation. Sorry, Borenstein. Better luck next go-round.
