I'm what one may call a dedicated fan of 'less is more' school of drama of any genre, so frankly it is fair to say that I shy away from US productions majority of time on that account. Preciously why I got hooked on this one after just one episode. John Torturro puts forth such a legendary performance along with oustanding ensemble. Sophisticated diligence in every aspect. I believe the show has so much to offer for following season. It generates hope for exceptional quality for US productions

Plot is not complex enough to stretch out for a full season, nor is character buildup is much coherent. Acting is downright horrible. Niether well written nor appears to be scrutinized. Waste of time!

Yay! Season 3 finally will start this Thursday on BBC Two!!! My personal number one period gang drama of all times! Perfection at all levels! Plus Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy to top it off. Even if you may not prefer gang drama, I still will recommend you to give this particular 'gem of surprises' a try. So psyched to read that this will be show's best written season so far. Just hope he won't be marrying the irritable drama junkie Grace as I also do not find the actress's performance in this role lurid and credible.

Sharon Horgan is the only good thing about this show. As a lass I find main male character excruciatingly lame, so very predictable and sissy to a point that I get annoyed while watching... its just me, guess its not my cup of tea.

This show draws you in its story from the very first episode...that you're no longer 'watching telly' but rather 'witnessing an engaging drama of a family'. Series of twists unfold with each episode , rendering you insatiable for more. Superb character build-up. Coherent, meticulously written script. Another splendid example of 'less is more' style stellar acting performances by Scandinavian actors. Gorgeous scenery. Noteworthy to mention use of flashbacks...not only they contribute to the overall noir theme by cinemaographic technique used but also each sheds so little light over the past on its own to unveil yet just enough to keep viewers' guessing while maintaining their appetite to fill the blanks in the background story in tact.

5-stars ...what this show deserves if only.... it didn't try to be romantic over-zealously. Sorry but the show failed to recognise bitchy\realistic lasses among us!

Here is a show that claims to be crime drama yet while I watched it registered in my mind more like a comedy . Charismatic detective with a happy go lucky attitude that thinks being ingenious actually makes him prone to all procedural restrictions which applies to all enforcers. Excuse me but since when detectives can make arrests and keep suspects in custody for indefinitive periods of time when they dont have a shred of incriminating evidence but theories in mind? Not credible just slick...like an atmospherically delightful tv show with scarce chance of crime as 'royal pains'. Also not credible was the possibility of such a slick detective falling for the self-rightous lame nurse....really ?

It is artsy by poetic progression but not by dialogues or composition ; not complicated at all to decipher as it is serves forth a genuinely straightforward, sublime and poignant fold of events before you. Indeed this show can be deemed as the tv show that gets across the message in most efficient, poignant and sublime manner. Not a moral sermon hammered to yer head but is one of the most compelling, articulately built, poetically composed criminal suspense drama of our times ; which I believe should never be adapted, as each attempt of adaptation wears fibres away of its authenticity. This show is additionally praiseworthy for me as in Saga of Bron/Broen I finally found the heroine that I can most associate with . Despite heroine's background resembling nothing like mine, she is the heroine that I finally can connect with.Don't you love shows that makes you question yourself under new light?

The show that defines perfection in screenplay, scenario, cinemaography, costume design and more specificly ...acting. It has been 3 years since I've watched the show.yet still Borgia remains to be the best .scrupulously written, exceptionally performed TV show of all times! Tom Fontana's Borgia is the show which made me the bingewatcher that I am ...today !

Excuse-a-moi for taking it seriously but it is the 8th episode yet we still have a chaotic good princess, a neutral good sorcerer apprentice who can only show merit with elven stones against demons and a true neutral human rogue/mercenary.. Started as a much anticipated fantasy tv show, it deserves more witty script than marketing lobby in production
