Good Trouble

This a spin-off of The Fosters. The 2 adopted sisters are now finished with college and trying to survive the real world. I didn’t think I’d like this, but the characters matured, so did the storylines. I appreciate how they demonstrate the difficulty of a woman in the tech world and how every aspect of your life matters in the legal world. Those that have issues with different sexual orientations, this may not be the show for you, as they seem to be covering all of them. Yes, mature topics, but very much real.

90 Day Fiance

So an American meets someone from another country. In order to marry and bring them to the US, they need 90 days to make it happen. I think the show purposely picks couples think8ng they’ll fail and the drama will keep us tuning in. Personally, none of them truly know each other to even consider marriage, let alone in 90 days. Most are internet relationships, but a few actually met elsewhere, before attempting the 90 day issue. There’s always at least 1 per season, that displays a total lack of love. So I find the show funny. If anything, it should be teaching viewers to wait much longer before entering a marriage with someone you don’t truly know.

A British coming of age series. Quite raw sexually, but quite realistic. Expected it to be lame, but it turned out quite good. Definitely R-rated and not for young kids.

A really great show about how a housewife becomes the stand up comedian that her husband wanted to be. Her humor is honest and relatable. This is a must watch show.

This series tells a completely different story each season. Only one character remains the same, a police detective, with his own personal issues. The writing is quite good. The storylines are different from most crime dramas and worth seeing.

The trials and tribulations of running a huge cattle ranch and all the acreage out west, along with all the family issues the past has drudge up. Proving money and power doesn’t necessarily bring complete happiness. A very worthy show.

Miz & Mrs.

Remembering when he spoke of becoming a wrestling star, when he was MTV’s Real World. He has now accomplished his goal, married (with mother-in-law in tow) and new baby daughter. The Miz is entertaining.

If you grew up watching “The Brady Bunch” or watched all the episodes in reruns, this show is worth checking out. They take the original house, used for exterior shots and renovate its interior to look exactly like the rooms on the show’s set. The actors help with the renovation. A very interesting home show.

With the powerhouses in the directing and production of this series, I expected better. It can be equated to a modern version of M*A*S*H, only there are almost no medical scenes in this one. The characters are interesting and realistic, but the show tends to center around the 2 trying to break all the rules. It would be a much better drama, if we saw more of the other characters and their military job and not just their personal time.

A Spin-off of Chicago Fire, this is my least favorite of the Chicago series. It takes place mostly in an Emergency Room, but there are too many character flaws for it to be believable. Some of their personalities are a bit on the extreme side and one can always guess how a specific character will react in each episode. If you like the other Chicago series, you have to watch this one also, because there are always crossovers.
