An amazing series for any Broadway fan, featuring many of the Broadway greats like Christian Borle(Something Rotten's Shakespeare), Leslie Odom Jr.(Hamilton's Aaron Burr), Brian D'arcy James (Something Rotten's older Bottom), and the amazing Anjelica Huston, not to mention guest appearances from the legend Bernadette Peters, Jesse L. Martin, Uma Thurman, Philipa Soo...
Seriously, the songs, the acting, the performances, the staging... It's a Broadway's fan fantasy.
[SEASON 2] Agent Carter is back and she is just as bad-ass. I didn't see where the series could go next, but it's evolution is perfect. I hope it will last to the point at which Carter creates SHIELD. #hype
At one point it was said that DC had TV while Marvel had the movies. This show is king of proving otherwise. Though lovely - to the point that I think I may have enjoyed it when I was 10, this is sadly not at the top of DC's game. DC succeeded with Arrow and Flash thanks to a certain, more serious, approach to the whole superhero genre, which is absent here.
This could very well be J.J. Abrams's Firefly. It was an amazing show. The relationship between Dorian and Kennex reminded me a lot of the relation between R. Daneel Olivaw and Elijah Bailey, from Asimov's Robot series (which are among my favourite books). I got the feeling that the order in which the episodes were shown was not ideal and perhaps was the cause of the low ratings. Nevertheless it will remain among my favourite series.
Lovely depiction of Sherlock Holmes. Perhaps a more accurate depiction of the character than in BBC's Sherlock.
An excellent series for all Marvel fans. It has a beautiful tie-in with the movies (though a bit annoying that it gave a massive spoiler for Captain America: The Winter Solider). It's great to see plot that ties together.
Whilst the premise is intriguing, the characters are bland and without character. Even the mains are fairly straightforward. I will give it a shot as it's about time travel, but not too long.
You've got me at time travel. The characters are great... flashbacks to ancient Egypt... Superpowers... Super awesome geeky guys (2, so double bonus)... It's got all I could ever wish in a series... yet somehow it is a bit... lacking... I would assume in plot. I do hope it picks up.
I wouldn't call it art, but it is quality television. It is the thing I watch when I want to relax. Creates the feeling of family, and also the feeling that their problems are worse than yours, so you can chill. Nonetheless it's got some bonus points on my part for the natural way in which it treats LGBTQ+ issues, in a way that not only is not meant to shock, but feel like it belongs
Nothing special. At the same time it is in fact well done. It is funny and overall quite relaxing to watch. Not to mention it handles the non-issue of weight in a very delicate way, that is how it should be treated. It's got some strong characters which though brought together by overeating are not defined by that and it's amazing!
