Stargate Universe

It wasn't dreadfull and it was stargate, so I stuck to it... But I hated, disliked or "didn't care for" every single characters. There wasn't a single one I liked or cared for. No surprise when it got cancelled... But it sucks that after that they never picked up the franchise back. To me it's obvious there is still a lot you can do with Stargate, sadly it seems Universe was the last nail on the coffin.

Well worth it. I've now watched the last chapter and I'm happy I stuck with it. Last 2 seasons I was a bit bored, but I cared too much about the characters to stop and not see it to the end. Now I'm glad I did.
Wonderfull job on the part of Tatiana Maslany I believed each of her characters as individuals even knowing and seeing it was all the same actress.

S1 the original UK series was very good. I still recommend it to people nowadays.
S2 to 5 were OK. Nothing to write home about, but entertaining.
S6... episode 1 is disastrous. I won't be watching any more.

Quite terrible. Acting is awful.
I wouldn't try giving this to watch to anyone above 6 or 7 years old. But it's about teenagers, so probably not the best option for kids.

It's hard not to fall for Gillian Anderson watching this series. Love her character and love how she acts it.

Still waiting for Netflix to upload s3 in my country :((((

To me, Top Gear up to season 22 is a must for some casual fun. No need to start at s01.

I have 0 interest in cars, I didn't even bother getting a licence. But workmates kept talking about it and some of the specials. And when I heard they were doing an episode in Spain I simply HAD to watch. Loved it. Searched for some of those infamous specials I had heard about... And I was hooked...
When they truly talked about cars it wasn't my thing but I did learn some things and now I'm a tiny bit less ignorant about cars (even if a lot of what they said was BS), but everything else was so much fun it didn't matter.

But then 1 of the 3 original hosts messed up (big time!), the 3 of them left the show... And after watching 1 episode with the new hosts (s23) I lost all interest, it simply wasn't the same.

Marvel's Inhumans

I WANT to like it... But it's not working.
On paper it has everything I like (politics, special abilities, futuristic tech, people in space...) and yet.... As of now characters leave me indifferent, they are shallow. No one to like. There is a lot of the typical "bad are very bad, evil. Good are very good, but stupid". I need characters to be deeper.

e01&02: I was bored after a while but wanted to like it.
e03: it was better, but I still can“t care.

I'll watch some more because I REALLY REALLY want to like it.

EDIT:
e05: I give up. There is no hope. I'm sad because it could've been good, but it's awful. And I'm angry because I feel like they are insulting all the potential viewers. To me, every second of this show says "why make an effort? They are stupid, they'll buy anything with Marvel on it".. I don't think they even tried.

Having a hard time caring about any of the characters, which makes me more picky about the plot and how it's told.
e01: It was fine, as an intro to the world and characters it was good.
e02: There is a LOT going on that's plenty interesting in the plot. But they choose to create a "situation of the chapter" that was unnecessary, too long and overdone. Smelled like "filler" to me.
I'll watch at least 1 or 2 more episodes to see how it evolves. I think there is potential. But I don't know yet if I'll want to keep watching or I'll rather move on.

Star Trek: Discovery

After 6 chapters:
I'm quite happy with this TV series. It doesn't keep with the standard Star Trek storytelling format (independent chapters) and to me that makes it all the better. Solid, deep characters, complex political and human situations and all of it wrapped in starships, space and Science fiction... My guess is... it'll get cancelled, because nothing I like seems to last.

Old review:
After chapters 1&2:
I'll keep watching. This was just an intro to the political set up and to the main character (set up by a show runner that was later changed). So it's hard to say if it'll be good or not. In any case it was certainly interesting enough to want to see 2 or 3 more and see where it goes. I give it an optimistic 4 for now.

Disclaimers:
I'm not ofended by females, asians or blacks. Apparently this is a must to enjoy the series. There is lots of hate over the gender and race of the characters in other places. Keep that in mind, if YOU are offended by those things maybe this is not for you.
I watch it on Netflix, which seems to help too. Some people in other review sites seem to let how CBS works affect their judgement of the series. I don't have that problem. I watched the chapters unhindered by commercials and for no extra cost since I already had Netflix.

Funny little silly series. Don't expect much. But it's entertaining.
The 25mins format works well. Since it's comedy with a simple story if it was longer it would get boring. But with less than 30mins per chapter it work great.
