Watch it! Just watch it, I don't need to explain why, you'll see.
Ok, in case you do need me to explain why: It's very well written, perfectly balancing dark and funny, with characters you actually care about, twists and turns you don't see coming. Also, if you're a fan of the comic: It is nothing like the comic, apart from her white hair and the fact that she's a zombie.

This ain't your (grand)mother's Barbarella! Grace and Frankie shows how two families have to reassemble and readjust their lives when two of their members decide to finally follow their heart. You see the good and the bad. The stoic sarcasm (Fonda) and the heartbreaking acceptance (Tomlin). You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll learn not to do peyote on a beach at night, alone.

Give it a shot. Why not? We all know nothing will ever be Firefly, so it's unfair to compare. The first two episodes will scream Firefly at you, but don't let them. Be strong. Let the show stand on its own merit. So, think Farscape with better effects and fewer mindfucks. Also hotter dudes. Much, much hotter dudes!
Did I mention Nick Slaughter is in it? (and if you don't know who that is, I pity your embargo-free childhood!)
