True Blood brought vampires back to life in the television world. The first couple seasons have a strong script and storyline; the last 2 season are weak and I am happy to see this series end before it killed itself. There is an underlying love story always pushing its way to the surface of the show (somewhat annoying). I recommend this show to teens and supernatural fanatics.
Fallen is a supernatural fantasy action drama about fallen angels and their offspring. The show focuses one boy (a nephilim) who finds out who he is and dealing with his new found abilities. The animations are below average and the storyline is a little lame. There are decent fighting scenes but some mediocre and below average acting. I recommend this show for teen supernatural drama fanatics.
This show is a teen's wet dream, including fantasy, horror, drama, supernatural beings and more drama. The storyline is solid, the actors are above average and very good looking. You will get lost in the story and fall in love with the characters... I just wish there was a little less drama. I recommend this show to teens and drama queens everywhere.
The Sopranos is the original gangster crime drama. The mafia is here and you should be afraid. Tony Soprano is explosive, greedy, deadly, an extortionist, a blackmailer, ruthless; everything needed to be an excellent mob boss... but this show isn't just about the mob; it's also about the struggles within his family and himself. I recommend this show to crime drama addicts everywhere.
This is a hilarious adult swim with very foul language. This cartoon is racist and the jokes are low blows and in your face. I recommend this show for people who are open to all kinds of comedy and who easily don't take offense.
The River is about a group searching for a missing wildlife expert in the Amazon jungle. They find themselves facing an evil they never expected... something wants them to suffer. It is filmed as a documentary (a show within a show) which adds a sort of mystery and enhances the drama. There is deception, mystery, fantasy, pain, death, magic, fear, truth, guilt, selflessness and horror. I recommend this show to the fantasy/supernatural drama horror fanatic.
A cartoon meant to scare children and give them life lessons along the way. I used to watch this all the time as a child. If you have a chance to get your hand on some episodes, show it to your child, they will learn something.
SGU is a syfy action drama that had all the right elements to be an amazing show. It was unfortunately cancelled because SYFY wanted to re-vamp their channel and get rid of the Stargate series. SGU was about a group of survivors floating through space trying top survive and feel alive. The animations were beautiful and the sets where awesome. I recommend this show to science fiction addicts and action dramas alike.
